Lol you're hilarious and coming off as a huge puffed up d-bag.

if there's a problem with the half shafts then they will send you new ones. that is what their warranty entails, they don't owe you jack crap for install fees and shipping and handling.

OP, just curious.

You say the parts are installed, but there is a defect with them.

I am just wondering if you could shed more light here. If they are installed, how was it deemed that there is an issue? Having installed a set myself, I am extremely curious to know how a defect would not be noticed before installation.

If it is a physical defect, wouldn't / shouldn't that have been caught before installation? If it is another type of defect...how was it discovered after these parts have been installed? Is the car running and driving?

Just looking to find out more info here, as there seems to be some info missing.

Sorry OP, I feel for ya. Ford Racing is pretty good though and maybe if the defect was their fault they will reinburse for labor for the swap. I know last year they took care of a lot of people with the Aluminator/oil pump gear mishap. Anyway, good luck and hope they get you sorted out.

Things like metallurgy, heat treatment, assembly of the C.V joint, boots not tough enough, and other things might not be visible to the naked eye.

So, I ordered the Ford Racing halfshafts from AM on January 5th. I just had these installed into my car last week; plus a lot of other parts, my car is almost finished. I receive a message from Rod "or Rob" at Ford Racing in regards to there being a "Glitch" in the manufacturing of the halfshafts and that I need to return them. I believe that these are manufactured by Gforce Engineering for Ford Racing.

Message sent to AM on 3/12/15

Message sent to Gforce on 3/12/15

Response from Gforce: You might contact Ford Racing to see what the issue is as we have not been told of any issues.
I'll see if I can find out what it is.

I am completely pissed off!!! One of the 3 companies needs to fix this issue ASAP and before I take legal action. These are already on my car and I will not be paying extra for the uninstall of these plus shipping back to them. Also, I am not going to deal with the down time. I fully expect them to send me new halfshafts and for them to pay for the labor+shipping. Then I will mail their defective halfshafts back.

Now I wish that I would have went with the DSS halfshafts.

Hey Luther - Sorry about the problems that you're having here. I received your PM last night but was offsite at that time. I'm sorry to hear that they didn't work out for you and we'll work with Ford Racing to make sure that the rest of our inventory on hand isn't defective as well.

We'll always bend over backwards to help our customers out no matter what. If you send the defective parts back to us we can issue a refund and get replacements sent out to you. I have no problem personally verifying that they're not defective for you by comparing them to your returns. If you have that communication with Ford Racing and can have that shot over to me it would greatly improve how fast we can have this turned around. I don't have any problem getting a new set sent out to you and sending call tags for the existing set to minimize down time and keep you from having to pay shipping back even though this one really is a little out of our control.

If you would like to go a different route, we can get you hooked up with a set of Driveshaft Shop half-shafts that we've used on Bama's supercharged 2015 GT that have been tested extensively and are bullet proof even in the 9 second realm. Either way you go let me know how I can help make things a little bit easier for you here!

Alex

People...reach out to your vendor, in this case AM. They have some of the best customer service out of any company, in any industry. I am sure they will work with you on this.
Have you PM'd Alex L. from AM on here? What time did you send an email to them? I assumed you tried calling them or was it afterhours?

Hey thanks again Todd - I really appreciate you shooting this thread over to me!

Alex

Or maybe you are the type that jsut bends over and takes it.

This isn't AM's fault, they don't manufactor the parts. My focus is on Ford Racing and their manufacture. The parts are already on my car; I have paid for that. What I will not pay for is the removal of their defective product, the replacement and then the reinstall.

I'm not the type for person who takes sh-t laying down like the manority of people. When things go wrong in life that cost me money...yeah, mess with my money and I come after you.

Calling out OKC #1 spot after axle back install.
Manority.....of the people would talk to the vendor to solve the issue before they go off and throw a tantrum.
I have had hiccups with some of my transactions, m6g vendors have always stepped up and taken care of me.

S/w Ford Racing - sone if the loctite on the bolts are contaminated and the bolt on the half shafts can come out. They stated that it needs to be fix. I advised that they need to pay for everything and that I will not be paying. They are calling my tuner and taking care of it.

Hey,

Thanks again for keeping me up to speed and in the loop on this. If there's anything I can do to help expedite the process or intervene on your behalf please let me know. I hate to hear that you're running around doing all the leg work here! Just let me know if there's anything at all I can help out with and I'm happy to hear that you're going to be taking care of this for you.

So just take the bolts out one at a time, apply new loctite and reinstall and torque? But I'm guessing the heads of the bolts face the spindle and the diff. Still not a huge deal. Thank god I'm my own mechanic...
