Check the driverside valve cover bolts. Mine had a burning smell with no smoke. Valve cover was leaking, 6 bolts were literally loose. Tightened them, cleaned away oil, seems to be good now.
I have the frpp shocks/struts and bmr handling springs and hate it. Bounces, jounces, and is rough. Didnt seem bad at first but as time has gone by it has just turned me off completely . Currently looking at higher dollar coil-overs to get better valving tech and hopefully a better ride.
Just installed the handling versions with frpp shocks/struts, MM camber plates, and the bmr cb005 kit about 2 hours ago. So far the ride is very impressive and confidence inspiring compared to the PP shocks/struts and the frpp street springs it replaced.
Id have to get more seat time to tell...
you would get the alignment following the bumpsteer kit install. i would search for a local place that can set it up. quite a bit of money for something you might only use once.
you should have an alignment machine or a bumpsteer gauge to accurately install these. i would not suggest doing it on your own without being able to see the changes in toe.
I contacted Ground Control, their camber/caster plates are in production and coilovers are following shortly. they are still looking for a car to develop with.
this. leaves a nice slick, smooth finish that isnt greasy.

are we not doing the picture thing anymore? im considering these as an option and would like to see how they are out of the box instead of looking at typical sales pictures.
today i learned my $40,000 car was inexpensive...
I'm at 4300 miles and the trans is only finding new ways to clunk, bang, whine, and feel generally poopy. lol. the 3650 in my '08 after 36k miles on the factory fluid still felt great with no whining, clunking, or grinding. i guess i can just...
this. i like an aggressive setup but there is a fine line between aggressive and wheels/tires dont fit. but we all have our own opinions, and we know what they say about opinions.
Forgestar CF10 in Black Graphite 19x9.5 +35 with 275/40r19 MPSS on all 4 corners. pretty crappy picture and a dirty car but it will do for now. lowered on FRPP street springs.
