Had kooks LTH green catted added to my 21 GT and picked up 17hp but gained zero torque? Also added a 87mm Ford performance TB.
I was little taken back I didn’t gain any torque.
Any input would be helpful.
Thanks

Now get it tuned for the headers and bigger throttle body and you will gain even more.

You had to gain torque in order to gain HP. You may not have gained peak torque.

In the red was before LTH and TB.
You can see it picked up over 16+HP and torque literally almost stayed the same.
They tuned it once everything was installed.
How can this be you think?
Better tuning?

I had it tuned directly After they added the LTH and TB. Could this be a tuning issue?

Headers don't add much at all to these coyotes period. Not until its a 9 second or better race car.

Really? I was baffled I didn’t pick up any torque at all. I did pick up 16+ HP but down around 2,500rpm I dropped some torque which makes no sense. It’s the one reason why I added LTH cause I’ve read and watched some videos where guys added LTs and gained torque.
I also added LTs cause I’ll be adding a whipple next spring.
Thanks

My buds 2019 makes 840whp, runs a 4.9 60-130 @ 4100lbs on 100% stock exhaust front to back. He went 9.74 last year, and will probably hit 9.40's this year.

What is the primary size of those? Usually going bigger on the exhaust helps with power but not so much torque, the smaller primaries of the OEM headers help promote low end torque.

As others have said, this is not really all that surprising. First of all the Coyote isn't exactly a torque monster, and also the OEM calibration is pretty well optimized for torque with the tivct so unless you tune for it you're not going to see the gains just by eliminating exhaust restriction (which again the OEM setup does pretty well in that regard).

Your peak may be basically the same but you gained midrange and you can see where you gained airflow above peak. HP = TQ x RPM / 5252

Thank you for the reply. What do you think the cause of the loss of power as you can see it where you circled? Is this enough where I can feel it and how can I gain that back? Through a tune?
I know it can be gained from other power adders but curious if I should habe them retune it?
Thanks

Curious about this as well. Been running headers (Catless) NA but was wondering about switching back to stock. The power just isn't there for the tradeoffs so far. Im never in the high RPM's consistently enough to notice the benefits. The Smell and noise is obnoxious and performance benefit is very minimal. Car is tuned as well.

In between the green circles there’s a very minor tradeoff that is likely just a slight difference in reflective wave. Overall your average is up for the entire range which is what you want.
