Glad it is over. Honest mistake or not, I do wonder why he opened a service order for a remote start that you didn't order.

There you go, another salesman who knows less stuff about the cars he sells than some potential buyers do... I've always found that ridiculous, when you teach the guy some things aout HIS job...

I can understand that being an honest mistake. Salesman should probably have still known better though.

In these kind of instances, if I was the manager, I'd make sure to erase any ill will with some extra compensation of some kind. It did cost you time, which is invaluable.
