The GT350 Owners Facebook page has four of them. There's also an alarming amount of them destroying the cylinder walls and using a lot of oil due to it.

Finding only two on this site doesn't mean much. Many of the owners aren't on this site, or even the facebook page.

Finding a grand total of 6 does not equate to dropping like flies either.

Agreed. I have seen more than 6 on the Facebook pages. But dealers offer little info because Ford immediately takes the engines back to HQ without allowing anyone to take them apart.

Oil Pump Gears.

Timing Sprocket is also near them and sometimes lumped into the same group based on context.

You also think the stock intake is capable of making power to 7,500RPM+. That's an "LMFAO" moment.

I have personally seen more than 10 people complaining of complete and sudden loss of oil pressure due to OPGs. Some have confirmed it was the OPGs, others presumed based on the symptoms. As I said before, Ford quickly snatches them up to avoid dealer techs taking them apart. They're also suffering from oil consumption issues and their cylinder liners wearing through.

Didn't say 7500rpm there guy. I 'agreed' with the other poster saying 7300 before that's all she wrote. Thanks.

I mean, for what it's worth, I daily my TT 2013 GT.

65,000 Miles (just turned over yesterday...yayyyyy)

44,000 Miles with the kit installed.

100% Stock motor including OPG/CS

730 Whp, driven and beaten on daily.

Zero issues :)

This isn't to say they aren't weak, because they have been shown to be, but I also don't believe they are as horrible as everyone makes them out to be.

With proper tuning and driving, mine have lasted quite some time.

But again...WHERE ARE YOU getting the additional information that there is more than 6 (ill give you that credit, though I haven't seen the 6). Are GT350 owners getting directly in contact with only you to let you know of their failures?

Otherwise I am failing to see how you are claiming to know more failures known than the next guy, and I accuse you of spreading false information and would like to shut it down very quickly before it spreads

If you check the community here, there are 1249 members that list GT350 as their owned car. Not sure the error rate of how many people are signed up here just for the ride and don't own the car, but I would guess its pretty low.

2 failures reported by 1249 members...well....that's pretty impressive if you ask me. 0.16% failure rate.

Let's assume some RETARDED rate of people who lied about the car they own, let's say 50% of all members lied.

Let's take it one step further. Let's assume 75% of all those who have a failure don't EVER report it happening or took it straight to the dealer and were never told what happened, that would mean with 2 actually reported failures there were 10 failures total among 625 members (that's 50% of the total assuming they lied).

That means a 1.6% failure rate.

Still "dropping like flies"?

I already agreed above that "dropping like flies" wasn't a fair assertion. But based on the posts made by owners on various Facebook pages, and the fact that Ford uses a steel backing plate on 350 pump housings to help avoid gear flex, there is an issue. On a limited production car, 1-2% failure rate is unacceptable IMO.

Powdered metal is very hard and good for longevity. But it cannot handle torsional stress very well. Crank flex due to RPM or power causes the gears to receive such stress and crack.
