Is the MT-82 sealed or not?

Is the MT-82 sealed or not? Is this good for longevity, or bad, assuming most people are going to make the most of their cars performance potential (read drive hard, fast, or race) from time to time...

That's a link to a Google search - a new trend seems to be sealing the transmission at the time of manufacturing, because someone thinks that doing a gear oil change will only introduce contaminants that wear it out sooner. In my mind this would make the transmission a disposable component...

This isn't one of those transmissions. It is not sealed. Has a drain plug and a fill plug and fluid swaps are common.

Okay, cool. I thought I'd read something on here where there were some concerns... looks like it's maybe automatics that get this most often - perhaps exclusively?

Swapping trans fluid is a very popular mod for the MT-82. Amsoil, Redline, my personal favorite BG Syncroshift II.
