Will I buy another stang? Hmm Maybe, but it won't be till after next generation and it'll be a slightly used model with maybe 5k miles on it.

If there is no 2018 Bullitt, no. If there is a 2018 Bullitt (and the price & features are right), yes. Didn't think anything would get me out of my 2015, which I especially like because of the model year being "50 years" from the original.

The 2015 has been an awesome daily driver for me.

As long as I don't have any catastrophic issues, I plan on keeping it. I will say though, if I knew half the shit I do now when I was looking to buy this last summer, I might have avoided buying it instead.

i've never kept a car longer than 3-4 years, i'm not gonna start now.

now that i don't need to own my car anymore and can lease, because i dont drive 100 miles a day for work anymore, my next car will be whoever has the best lease deals.

challenger/charger, mustang or camaro. but it seems like dodge always has the best lease deals. GTs dont lease well, and neither do SSs, but scat packs seem to have good deals.

I have thoughts of selling it and getting something else.....but also not selling and keeping it and just modifying and improving it as time goes on. So many cars I would love to own, but have to be responsible and love what I have! My original plan when I bought it was to keep it for a long time, and I think that is what I will do even if the GT350 is so tempting!

This thread is interesting. All of those against/for keeping it. I'd say it's about what I'd expect on the Poll results. The defining factor is your average owner on here would rightfully be called an "enthusiast". Whereas your generic owner who rides around in a GT who's not active in the culture or has done any modifications to it would be more apt to trade out over time. The more you engage in modifications and in car culture, the more likely you are to maintain a lengthy ownership.

Just my observation.

I PERSONALLY think it's a stupid move for anyone who has put time and money into their car. For people who remain stock, I can see the incentive of upgrading because you are getting some more power, cosmetic changes, exhaust and suspension. For those who already have upgraded these areas, you will most likely be LOSING what you've gained. I'm willing to bet the power difference between the 17 & 18 will be as simple as a tune. 18 will probably produce as much power as an OTS 91 tune 17. The question is what changes on the block will produce. Will there really be a greater benifit over the current generation Coyote? Will the $$ VS HP return be much better with bolts/FI.

We replace OEM parts for a reason, they are mediocre at best. Expecting a refresh to provide a much different performing car is a bit far fetched and drinking the sales pitch koolaid. The real changes will be within the next generation which I think should warrant a upgrade if you've put a bunch of time and money into the car.

I didn't answer the poll because I really don't know the answer. I intend to keep the car, unless I decide I want something else instead, or the car breaks, or I lose my job and need to sell, or I crash it at an HPDE, or someone crashes into me, etc. etc. etc.

Im diggin mine pretty well but its a DD and you never know what will come around. That said, the only thing I could see getting rid of it would be IF I could find a 2013-2014 GT500 I could afford. Otherwise Im really happy with it both as a fun car and as a daily ride, it fits both bills quite well.
