You assume too much...like assuming our orders are the ONLY thing on his plate, or that the engraver ONLY has 20 shift knobs to work on...

Basically you've put your foot in your mouth because you assume your one simple shift knob is the main focus for anyone involved in this project. So I say again...this is your issue...not anyone else's.

You're correct, it's my issue. Yet you interject your unnecessary opinion on it. I was informing everyone of my situation so that they have all necessary info on hand prior to ordering and as I stated earlier it is my opinion that matters in what happens to me, not anybody else's. You think 3 months is insignificant, I do not. End of discussion. The OP and I have settled this matter.

Which way do you want it? Speak out of the both sides of your mouth by saying anyone else opinion about your order doesn't matter but stand high and mighty by voicing your opinion to others?

It's a public forum to which you aired your grievances, you're going to get opinions and if you haven't figured that out after 7 months of being on this board you may want to reevaluate your understanding of public forums.

Hoping to get some feedback here. I only got one jam nut with mine. Is this normal? Because you can't lock a jam nut without something resisting against it and in this case I can't get a wrench in there to keep it still enough to spin the knob against. How is everyone aligning and tightening theirs?

The knob jams on the nut. Start by putting it all the down, put the knob on and see how far off the alignment is, then raise the nut a bit till you get the knob straight and just hand tighten the knob over the nut. I don't have one but that's how another type knob I had worked.

^ This. Or skip the nut entirely and just use blue loctite. Apply it to the rod threads, then screw the knob down just far enough to not interfere with the reverse lockout, line it up just the way you want it, then let it sit overnight to cure.

I had my last Flossy knob on that way and it doesn't move even a tiny bit. Then if you need to remove it later, just give it a good real hard twist and it'll come off.

Both of those are good answers. I've used both on different cars and they work equally as well.

PM me if you've got other concerns and I can walk you through them.

Thanks!

The issue with spinning the knob against the nut is that the nut will spin with the knob since there is nothing to apply pressure to it to keep from spinning. It seems that I might just buy a second thin nut, and then spin the two against each other, that way I can create a solid base for the shift knob to tighten against.

I'd really prefer not having to use loctite but it would make sense if it came down to it.
