No, that's not at all what happened.

I don't make a habit of making labels and sitting on them for days. That's how orders fall through cracks.

As I said before, your label was made the 10th, just like the email says and dropped off the next day. Also funny, I didn't drop the knob off at the post office at 63146, I dropped it off at 177 Weldon Pkwy, Maryland Heights, MO 63043. Which is on my way home and to work.

Things with shipping are done the same way every time. Just like evo got his tracking last night and it shipped today. Stunning how that works.

Your surprise and insinuation that I'd sit on your knob for a week is a tad ridiculous. What purpose would it serve me to sit on your product for a time when I'd already made the label and packed the box. Did you ever pause to think that possibly, just possibly, the USPS isn't some infallible gov't agency and that MAYBE, just maybe their tracking isn't reliable by any standard?

Here's a knob, with an extremely similar instance. It's happened before. This one ended up going to Guam, before finally reaching it's destination in Orange County.
this is unreal by Derrick Tackett, on Flickr

But lemme guess, the post office got that one right too? Every other knob managed to have live tracking the day after I shipped it, usually it takes 24-48 hours. Sometimes they take longer, it happens. 2 day priority is not, nor has it ever been a guarantee by the USPS.

We can go round and round all day. BUT, the fact remains, it shipped the day I said it did. Sometimes things happen with the post office and they don't go smoothly. Sucks, but such is life. It's not like I could hand deliver them, it'd be much easier if I could.
I have never bought anything from you but with this reply, you would win my business:cheers:

The knobs you make ARE AMAZING:first:

So the fact that USPS screwed up my order makes all of your other "estimates" totally acceptable?

You guys can continue buying items from someone who assures a "4-6 week" delivery timeframe, but I refuse to continue business with someone who's timeline comes around 3x before the product is complete. In my realm people would literally die if I was that far off with my "estimates", granted making custom knobs as a side job isn't a "life-or-death" situation but you get the idea. While it may seem to you as if it doesn't matter, that's your opinion and not a fact. Whether or not something matters is up to that specific person and not someone else, this was my first and last transaction with this business.

I give my fair warning to any potential buyers: While it seems as though the quality of this product is unquestionable ( I haven't received mine yet), expect to receive it later than expected as there's a few of us from the original order who still haven't received ours yet....not just me but I am being vocal about it.

Tell me if this would bother you?
Today marks 104 days since I paid. For a knob. Guess I'm the fool.

I accepted that I was far late on the knobs. Regardless, wouldn't matter to you. I never said all of the other issues were acceptable, I was referring directly to the shipping. Nothing else. You have a PM incoming, because I don't want to air dirty laundry and argue with a customer in public.

Lol, there's always that one guy.

Reminds me of that thread that got locked, where one guy got a slightly defective order from DD and went on a rant how their whole company is crap and how are they still in business, and no one should order from them blah blah blah

Can't make everyone happy, shit happens.

I'll give my fair warning to potential buyers too: just buy one, it's worth any wait :D

It happens, it's not worth the stress to be honest. This spiraled out of control. He's unhappy, I get it.

Also, thanks. glad you're enjoying it still.
rainier446 - please respond to my PM as quickly as possible. Thanks

I'm out of posts for the day, if you have a question about an order or whatever please PM or email me. Thanks!

In general, the post office sucks. Their tracking is usually delayed and I've had some really dumb things lost before. I would trust Anarchy when he says he dropped it off. This many people who have had a positive interaction with him and the fact he is being 100% transparent and taking responsibility for being behind shows he cares about the work and the customer. I'd be pretty annoyed if someone was saying I was lying too.

I was on the original group buy and I received my order just as many others have. So either Anarchy, after many updates on the process of this project, is lying to one person out of many and not giving a flying fornication...or USPS (a proven reliable source of delivery) screwed up somewhere.

Anyone want odds? LOL

It's not that the shipping is the reason I became upset, it was simply the straw that broke the camels back. I was on the edge of irritated after 3 months but then when the shipping got screwed up it simply put me over the edge.

I am wrong about the shipping more than likely, but that doesn't change the fact that the shipping issue only accounts for 9 of the 104 days since my order. I'm done discussing this and you folks should be as well. Continue talking about how much you love rubbing your knobs

Are you new to custom orders? LOL...104 days? I've waited two years for custom orders before. It's part of the process and as listed in this thread many issues arose that were beyond the control of the vendor, like the flooding of the city he lives in, or his engraver taking a vacation.

The shipping issue sent you over the edge? Sounds like a "rainier446" issue and not an "Anarchy Motive" issue. Not trying to be a dick but you're the only one in here pitching a fit when others were delayed as well....and people on this forum aren't slow to demand action for the most part.

EXACTLY!!

I waited exactly 7 months to the day to get my WORK wheels. They were custom, too.

Have you guys all received your knobs? I know I've seen a few of you post on here that you received them, just wondering if I'm the only person on the original list still waiting...
Got mine. All kinds of heavy, installed like it should. I like it.

It's funny that a California winter means a metal knob gets really hot during the day and really cold at night.

Sooo I'd like a Goliath that is natural metal color with just a clear coat or gloss white.

That'd look great, I prefer rods over balls for my shifters. :)

Lol at both of you, it's a freaking shift knob and not the sistine chapel. Don't even act like the custom work that took so long for you was as simple as an engraved knob. If you did wait longer for something this simple then well, good for you [emoji15]

You assume too much...like assuming our orders are the ONLY thing on his plate, or that the engraver ONLY has 20 shift knobs to work on...

Basically you've put your foot in your mouth because you assume your one simple shift knob is the main focus for anyone involved in this project. So I say again...this is your issue...not anyone else's.
