I'm confused. So you can get a base model with leather seats AND 19" wheels with the $995 Interior & Wheel Package? I was just playing around with the build tool and it says "Recaro perforated leather" in ebony is included with the package, but the seats don't look like Recaro seats in the image. However, in other areas, the description of the Interior & Wheel Package doesn't mention leather.

So you don't need a Premium package any more to get leather?

this might be true, but I don't think you can get this with the PP at the same time. big ford fail if that's true.

how do you have leather recaros in a base?

I got real lucky! I walked into the dealer to look... just look... at the first brand new 2015 Mustang I had seen ever. It was sitting on the showroom floor in the perfect color combo and it had leather seats. The salesman even told me it was a Premium model, but the price seemed too cheap. I went back the next day with my wife to show it to her, and she said "if you want it, then get it". So I started looking at it more seriously and that is when I figured out it wasn't a premium model... just a factory mistake.

So I bought it, even with that dealer not being the easiest to work with and the process being very not fun. Under normal circumstances I would have walked, but I wanted THAT car.

nice find, I can tell that those are not the same leather recaros that are on the premium cars. the perforation/ pattern looks different. I like what you have though. I wish this was a standard option from ford. you got lucky.

I am going to have to go check out some other Premiums with Recaros to see the difference. That would be really strange if they were not the same seats. No idea where they would have come from. On the window sticker they are just the regular factory option. Maybe they are the Ford Racing seats they sell?

That's awesome! I know tons of people who would have loved to be in your situation in finding such a happy accident.

Anyone have pictures of this on a base model? Pictures from page 1 aren't working.

Here's the "Wheel & Interior" package on a new 2016 EcoBoost fastback in my region:

http://www.medfordford.com/new/Ford...70a0e0a1725669ccf153a8260.htm?searchDepth=4:9

Check out all of the pics in that link.

You can see the specific 19" wheel package. The interior shows the Cloth seats with the white Mustang Pony embroidered on the both front seat backs (not headrest). It also has the front embroidered Mustang Pony floor mats.

It's really an appearance package and nothing more.

IMO all of the Mustang front seats (regardless of type) should come with the Pony embroidered on them. The same should be true for the front floor mats.

My 2016 Premium front floor mats were just plain, no Pony... I have the Lloyds mat set that has the front Pony, but that was aftermarket (and they look nicer than the Ford units).
