I like a lot about our 2018 GT convertible. Manual PP1:
Looks amazing
Sounds amazing
fun to drive with the manual
Big car so lots of room in the trunk and on the backseat for weekend getaways
I do not like:
Some poor exterior panel fit
stereo (Shaker) sound soso
Hard plastic on the doors and console
Fake stitching (white) on the dash and elsewhere
ordered a Corvette C8 Convertible which offers a 3LT package that upgrades the materials, the seats and comes with a very decent sound system already part of the 2LT package
The Corvette is twice the price of our Mustang but if offered (upgraded interior and sound) would seriously consider it.
Maybe just getting old(er) but the Mustang has evolved so much (performance, looks, ride with the IRS) the inside upgrade where we spend our time, at a few thousand more, would be welcome. Would take that over say a CS package
In the meantime, thinking of keeping our Mustang when we actually get our C8 convertible because it is a lot of fun with a NA V8 and manual and looks really good. Won’t last forever...
