Hey guys,

I just picked up 2019 Mustang GT PP1 today.

I wasn’t expecting mustang can be so comfortable to drive! even 6speed manual!

On the way to my house from dealer, I noticed rattle noises come from either drive’s side c pillar or the roof. It is so annoyed heck out of me! I should not expect this from brand new car.

Anyone who had or have this noise like mine? If yes, where do I need to look to get fixed?

Thanks

If its a rough road, your gonna hear rattle. You can try to find it and somehow stop it. I haven't gone that far yet.

Hey welcome to the forum and congrats on your car.

My 2018 GT has the same issue and I am about to resolve it by following the instructions on this thread. This C-pillar rattle seems to be a common issue on some of the models and can be fixed if you are comfortable with tinkering.

Good luck and don't sweat it too much. I have had a couple of rattle from different areas of the car and nothing a little felt tape and velcro couldn't fix!

Thank you!

I will take it to the dealer to see what they have to say.
This is so sad with brand new vehicle though. :(

That would honestly be annoying. Driving over a rough road, rattle, fine. Every time you hit the brakes, gotta fix it.

Do you have cloth, premium leather or Recaro front seats?

If you haven’t yet - with the vehicle parked, take your hand and wiggle the passenger seat OR pat the upper seat back portion from the back side; does it replicate the cream or clicking you hear?

If you have the premium leather non-Recaro seats it’s either a loose harness OR the TED module located at the back of the upper seat back, under the upholstery. The TED is what controls the heat/cool feature on the premium models. Loose harnesses can be found by looking under the seat or reaching up under the back side and just simply zip tying the harness.
