That center console looks exactly like the one in my '15 V6 rental I drove 2 weeks ago. Atrocious - does not belong in a car like this. There shouldn't be a non-Technology GT350, the weight difference is negligible and this really isn't a track weapon car at this kind of weight anyway. They should target the M3 and not the Z/28, a much more lucrative market.
This interior looks ten times more awesome than the V6, and it is built from the ground up as a 'track weapon car'. Just goes to show how two people can look at the same thing and see two totally different things...

The seats and steering wheel look totally new, but everything else I am looking at looks really similar to the V6 Rental. Not that the rental car was bad by any means, I loved the hell out of it - I wouldn't be interested in the GT350 if it weren't for how good that v6 rental was.

Personally I am not looking for a track car, I like sports cars that have a good helping of luxury items (Porsche, GT-R, etc). The GT350 is perfect. But "Track weapon" is something I would reserve for cars like Z06, GT3, etc that have significant weight savings, minimal soundproofing, etc. Terrible daily drivers.

I am liking the GT way more on the look and the look inside. I feel that the GT350 looks cheap inside even though the performance is awesome.

I just sat in a PP Premium 2015 GT and the center console where the shifter is at is cheap plastic. Its the same whether its a V6 rental or Premium GT, unfortunately. If Ford is offering a "Premium" line than damn it let it be premium, how much more could it cost...

I'm not sure if this would stop me though, it would depend on the price point of this car. If its over $60K to be honest I am probably sticking with my slower E92 M3 (currently at 400rwhp) and supercharge it or move on to an M4. If its under this price range it stays on my radar. I love this car though...

Looks like the interior will be essentially the same as the standard Mustangs. The photos show the standard GT350 interior, which is basically the same as the standard Mustang's interior. Hence the similarity to the V6 rental.

If you get the tech package then I suspect it will look like the Premium interior. Only question is whether there will be toggle switches, since much of that functionality has been moved to the steering wheel. It probably won't have the engine turned dash either, based on the comments about glare.

Love the shifter, seats look to be extremely supportive and have a very attractive shape. Don't like the mismatch in colour between the seats and the dash/console plastic, or the Alcantara on the wheel (which will get grubby really quickly).
I had a boss302 steering wheel with the alcantara on my 2012 and I really liked it, it held up to daily driving very well also

The seats remind me of seats from the 80's. Like the 82 Mustang GT Recaro seats.

First of all, how do you know the interior materials are the same? Yes, it's a base console, but my guess is even the base GT350 will be better overall than a base V6 in interior quality. I hated the base radio at first, but after seeing it awhile, I could probably live with it just fine.

Second, it's pretty early to say this isn't a good track car when we don't have a) final specs, b) track times, or c) actual weight figures

Finally, this car will compete with both of the cars you mentioned if it's priced right. Why go after one market when you can go after both?

You have a stripped down base model for track guys and an available luxury interior for guys who want a comfortable street car. Don't understand why you would be upset that they are actually giving people a choice. Isn't having a choice a good thing?
Amen. That's why I'm here now. <<--- See current vehicle ;)

There's been a lot of discussion on the Camaro5 1LE forums about the Recaros and treating/caring for the Alcantara steering wheel and shifter.

Wheel and shifter will show a little wear around the first 6000 miles of the car. Some owners have had success using the same type of suede leather cleaning kits you see for shoes. Others have said 'screw it' and replaced the knob, mostly for aesthetics value. I like the feel of the suede personally and it's pretty durable. Honestly unless you're white knuckling the knob or the wheel every freaking mile you drive the car it should be ok. I also wondered if some of these people were dipping their hands and ranch dressing and then driving their car....LOL

Recaros..I love them. Best option on the car. I sat in a set of Recaros on a '13 Mustang GT and they were good, the ones in my Camaro are fantastic. A lot of shoulder support and just wide enough. They hold your body in place nicely and it feels like you're wearing the car and not just sitting in it. I add this because it appears the GT350 Recaros look ver similar to what Camaro is sporting.

I drove a C7 vette with the competition seats with suede inserts on the seats, wheel, and shifter. I really liked the feel of the suede because it was much more grippy than leather. I would like to have the suede on my car. I might then undo the benefit by driving with some racing gloves all the time.
