Anyone know the flow rate of the upgraded intercooler that Ford puts in their performance package for the Ecoboost?

Edit: standard oem IC...not a upgraded one, I made a mistake

I don't believe the intercooler is upgraded, only the radiator.

Ford doesn't install an upgraded intercooler with the PP, only a bigger radiator.

I couldn't tell you the flow rate but all the tuning threads I've read say it's way undersized, and charge temp can reach 220 during a pull. I'm getting an MMR intercooler as soon as COBB releases the maps.

I couldn't tell you the flow rate but all the tuning threads I've read say it's way undersized, and charge temp can reach 220 during a pull. I'm getting an MMR intercooler as soon as COBB releases the maps.
Pull where? Maybe on a dyno. I am not saying it is not undersized, but I saw 124 degrees IAT on a pull last night. 124 @ 90 mph. It might make it to 140 by the end of the 1/4 mile. It was in the 50's ambient last night here. 220 would have me concerned and replacing the intercooler immediately, or installing meth injection. 125 or so, not as much.

It seems my memory is at fault here, I had confused the final coolant temp and charge temp. COBB produced a final charge temp of 184 F after a 4th gear dyno pull, documented in their main thread. Obviously that's far more strenuous than typical conditions, but it gives me cause for concern given my local climate.

I am in Louisiana. We are having an unseasonably cool fall and I am anticipating a cold winter. By spring I will probably be looking to upgrade the intercooler. I think you are going to see many cars with methanol/water injection as well to bring down IATs and to supplement the fuel system.

I won't buy an Intercooler until I see the flow rate of the OEM and then flow rate of the one I am going to buy plus all the competitions specs.
