Jut got my first bill with the new car... $975 for 6 months and that's with a bunch of multi-policy discounts. I'm an old fart, no tickets or chargeable offenses, and have all my other policies with Allstate. Shocked.

For kicks call Geico. I bet you it will be half of that for GT350 without any other policies with them. Seriously.

I had Allstate for years. Got quotes from Geico, Progressive, State farm, farmers and all that jazz. Allstate was one of the most expensive.

Just called to get insurance on the new GT350. All State will be charging me $113/mo (leisure car, < 8,000 mi/yr, multi-car + home policy, $500 deductible). 33. Clean record.

Just spoke with my insurance guy, he says I'm looking at a $25/month increase. I can live with that. I'm 55 year old, no tickets and have a home insured with these guys.

So...It seems insurance companies are settling down on the rates, maybe due to the car's newness. I called Geico and was given a $460 quote (If I switched and added my two other vehicles). I called USAA to see why the price was so off from Geico's. USAA quoted me $560, which is much better than the $939 quote given to me two weeks ago. The Geico quote may be cheaper for the GT350, but USAA had better rates for my other two cars, not to mention towing, rental, and accident forgiveness. BTW, this is with $500 ded, 25/50 bodily.
