Ok, during the ride along w the instructor in the passenger seat, his feedback was that I was not maintaining enough speed into the corners; slowing down too soon and not breaking heavily enough. I made some corrections and going into another turn, he asked if I had broken my ankle  He encouraged me to keep my speed up, brake later and harder. The car could take it.I feel like there is a good story hidden here......care to share?
BTW - I bought the insurance after the check-in staff mentioned that you are also responsible for damage caused by others. I felt like $150 was pretty cheap to just avoid any high-dollar he-said/she-said incidents.
I did get the insurance, just thought for piece of mind I would do it. Did not have any real close calls, but you never know. I pushed it pretty hard and got out of shape a couple of times. I was not there for a Sunday drive. When they allowed us to pass on the last session, I passed two cars that started in front of me and was about to lap the 8th car in our group when the checkered flag dropped ending the session. I wish now I would have done the 2 day event. You will not be disappointed.Hey guys,
I'm signed up for the 2-day Track Attack April 8-10th. I've read through all the threads on the Track Attack but only saw a few comments on the insurance. Given the nature of the event, it seems unlikely one would cause more than the $5000 deductible's worth of damage to a car, but then again you never know. For those who attended, did you get the insurance?
Those slicks on the 302's grip very well..... until they don't. Get the insurance and have fun. Thanks for all the feedback guys. I'll grab the insurance, especially since I'm doing the Boss 302 day 2. Though now I'm curious if I do one of the HPDE insurance packages for the year, if they'll let me include the Track Attack as one of the events.
