Installing Ford Performance 6 Speed Shift Knob Question...

Someone put a red one our 2016 Shelby when we bought it, would like to replace with a white one...I just casually tried to see if it the existing one unscrewed by hand and it doesn't seem to want to....sorry but a newbie at all this, what do I need to know?

He probably installed it with thread locker. May have to get a rubber strap to get some better grip on it.

A strap wrench will make quick work of it.
