Installing APR Splitter without Belly Pan?

I daily mine with a splitter and have only scraped on steep inclines even when approcaching at an angle. I think what he is saying is just have spatial awareness and you will have a pretty good idea what will cause you to scrape.

Can you elaborate on your common sense and cautious point? I use to own several Corvettes and I had to approach everything at an angle to prevent scraping. I'd call that cautious but impractical for daily use.
I'm lowered on Steeda progressives and I take the bumps straight on in my neighborhood. There are some ones that are like driving over bricks so I take those really slow, but that's about it. No sideways ones.
