Got the parts (2x - W715014-SS3JA) from Levittown Ford and marked where my WeatherTech Floormats naturally laid. I removed a few trim pieces to get under the carpet to make sure I wasn't cutting into anything. Cut two 1 inch slits one inch apart in the carpet for each retainer.

I think it came out well!

Nice! I got some pony badges from Etsy to replace the weathertech badge to make them look more OEM. Just wanted to let you know options are out there if you are interested.

Oh! That sounds nice - would you mind sending me a DM with a link?

Thanks!

I'd love to see those.

My passenger side Husky Liners never moved in my 2011, 2016 or my current 2021.

Having someone in my passenger seat is not an everyday occurrence either, but really don't think they would move much / if any if I did.

I run Lloyds Carpet mats in the Spring-Fall seasons and never have had an issue with that passenger mat moving much either.

That is great :)

I have passengers most the time. So for $15 this was an easy fix. Perhaps the weather tech mats should have some grip studs on the back. But they don't.

So, do 2015+ Mustang weathertech mats have the clips for the retainers that aren't present on the carpet of the car? This is one thing that REALLY irritates me - coming from a 2014 GT that had the retainers LH/RH to my old 15 and now my 21 that are LH only....

You are exactly right. The clips were on the mats already, but no hooks from the factory installed on passenger side.

I wonder - could I remove the clips from a LH carpet mat, install them on a RH carpet mat - buying an extra set of mats to do this...and then install the other clips into the carpet, and accomplish this same thing with carpet mats?

I think all you would need to do is install some grommets in the stock floor mat and then they would slide over the carpet retainers.

That's what I'm thinking...Ford does not sell the clip separate from ANY floor mat
