Inside headlamps

I've noticed some type of funky film on the inside of my headlamp covers. Has anyone cleaned theirs or know of a way to get inside to clean them? Can the headlamp lense be removed and put back on without major surgery?

If it is inside, there could be a leak in the seal. You could have a warranty claim. I do not think we can easily get inside the actual head lamp
