So I heard back from program HQ. They said the private cash Cannot be protected unless you had the offer at the time of order. Bummer.

Just in case some don't know this already, I'll post my situation. Ordered my car 7/7, since then I have received 4 brochures with the cash offer but expire on 8/21. I contacted Ford Incentives to ask what date exactly the offer started. Luckily for me it actually started on the date I placed the order. So if any of you have gotten brochures recently with soon to expire dates, and ordered the same time or after I did, you may want to inquire about the actual start date of your offer. You may still be able to lock it in. If anyone has questions shoot me a PM.
Good luck and I hope this helps some.

Thought I'd follow up here just for those curious and looking for information like I was yesterday.

400A Fastback, manual, voice activated nav, 20" wheels, and 3.55 gears.

MSRP 40,006. $36,150 out the door, 0 down, 0% for 72 months. I won't attempt to debate the merit of the deal, or the business practices of Ford. What I will say is that these deals are out, and easy to find with good credit. Also, no penalty for early payoff.

Blue Springs Ford in MO was my dealer, was very pleased with the process.

I heard about the 0% financing and started talking to my local dealer last week.

They looked at what was slated to be delivered and a black 2015 GT Premium Perf Pack 400A was coming in this week.

I asked to be the first to see it. Got in it last night with 4.7 miles on the odometer.

Got it for 500 over invoice. Fees/taxes with 1000 incentive I am right at 41500 out the door.

Payment is 340 a month. I picked it up at lunch.

It goes home to meet the others tonight.

Does any one know how long it takes for Ford to send you the brochure after you request one?

I'm looking to get on the 0% apr and $1000 incentive, but would like the $750 customer cash as well.

Thx.
The 0% and 1k back has them moving very quick. If you wait you may miss out entirely.

There was a GT Perf Pack being delivered same day as mine with no frills that had somebody's name on it. Very few other cars in the entire state of Ca matched up.

I kinda lucked out finding almost exactly what I wanted. I wanted 401A without parking assist or nav. But I couldnt order that. Got 400a with park assist and voice activated nav.

You payed $500 over invoice for a 2015? You could have done better, but, as long as your happy, congrats! At least you have a Mustang to drive. Another 1.5 months or so for my 2016.

A dealer who is looking for a base 2015 GT for me found one in Cincy but it had the PP. If it didn't have the Perf. Package, which I don't want due to the steep gears, I would have jumped on it.

The price was $32,250 OTD with 0%/72 + $1500 rebate.

Back to the database they go. I hope they find me one before the Labor day sales are over.

There really isnt much left that fit the bill that would have still qualified for 0% in the 2015 year.

I had a number in mind and they came in close to it. If I said no then somebody else would have come along to pull a Fry and say "take my money."

I really wasnt expecting to get out the door, in California, at so close to MSRP and certainly not under it.

I should have said "probably" done better. It may be different in California. I got my 2016 GT Premium for $900 below invoice before rebates/incentives. I did have to pay $398 in doc fees (there is no limit here in Massachusetts), but still ended up being $500 below invoice and ~$750 below x-plan. So I would think that the dealers across the country are looking to get rid of 2015 inventory. And I know for sure that people have done better than my deal in other parts of the country.

Like I stated in my post, as long as the OP was happy with the deal, that is all that matters. Didn't mean to come off as a "poser".

The whole issue that has to be considered is how hard does a person want to try to go to save every last penny when it means various things such as:
-missing a low miles car fresh off the trailer.
-having to risk traveling for a car only to get bait/switched, had a white car I was eyeing but felt the dealers were flakes.
-potentially missing out entirely on things like zero percent financing.
-say you do save 1k bucks, yes over the life of the loan that winds up being a lot of money. But from month to month that 1k extra you save ends up being only 14 dollars lower payment per month.

1k dollar incentive and 17k down got my payment into the 340 a month range.

I will pay a bit of a premium to get a car fresh off the trailer that is local to me and nearly fits every option I would have checked off.

Damn car is too sophisticated for me I think.

I agree with you on all accounts. I could have got a better deal if I wanted to travel to a Koons dealer in the mid-Atlantic. But in the long run, between plane ticket there and gas back, I didn't see the point.

I also ordered my car to my specific specs, so I didn't have to worry about finding/locating my car or a dealer having to locate and deliver.

I wanted to save as much as possible because that means more $$$ for mods.

I don't have to worry about financing because I am paying cash.

You can't go wrong on the 0% for 72/ $1,000 cash back deal. I'm glad you got your Mustang and hope you enjoy it. I am a little jealous that you get to drive it for the next month and a half while I wait for VIN's, build dates, and estimated delivery times.

Sounds exactly like the deal I got at Kings Ford in Cincy. Mine in Deep Impact Blue. I am so AMAZED with this car. I couldn't be happier.
