I agree with you on all accounts. I could have got a better deal if I wanted to travel to a Koons dealer in the mid-Atlantic. But in the long run, between plane ticket there and gas back, I didn't see the point.

I also ordered my car to my specific specs, so I didn't have to worry about finding/locating my car or a dealer having to locate and deliver.

I wanted to save as much as possible because that means more $$$ for mods.

I don't have to worry about financing because I am paying cash.

You can't go wrong on the 0% for 72/ $1,000 cash back deal. I'm glad you got your Mustang and hope you enjoy it. I am a little jealous that you get to drive it for the next month and a half while I wait for VIN's, build dates, and estimated delivery times.

LOL...

yeah you pointed out the obvious. I am not a person with much patience but with fairly high standards. A big part of me was thinking of saving another year or two for a GT350 down payment. But knowing how hard it was for me to part with the down payment I would likely just pay off a third of my house if I had 40k sitting around.

it was a nerve wracking 24 hours trying to decide if I really wanted to do this. I do not need this car. It is my 4th vehicle. I have never bought new but it is part of the reason I have worked 650 hours of overtime this past year and did 725 hours last year. No debt other than my house and this car loan.

If I didnt do it now I would have been waiting a year.

I will not be doing performance mods any time soon. That is why the other two cars exist.

Good comments on the last few posts. I ended up with a good deal, with no bullshit, outside of Houston. This car was coming in and fit all of my wants, and I had to only wait a few days. Like the poster above, all my overtime and hard work have rewards. Whatever makes you happy in the end. I'm 46 and this is my fourth Mustang. It is an awesome car and I have only driven it home the 30 miles from the dealership. Then it was back to nights and driving the old Accord.

That is sweet :)

If it weren't for the summer only tires, I'd bite on a PP. But going into fall in Minnesota would mean I'd be opting for a tire change within 3 months.
I actually found 3 PP's advertised for $29k and change in the Detroit area just recently.

Snow, Winter Tires, De-icer, Ice Scrapers, whats that all about? Been 17 years since I left that "madness" behind me and headed to the Tropics. Enjoy....!

ANy other current incentives besides the 0% finance and $1000 cash back? I am considering trading my ecoboost for a 15 gt if the numbers work. Do they have customer loyalty or anything? I have an x-plan pin as well. I think I found a GT close enough to what I want to make it worth it. Just thinking with the cheap financing might be better money spent than put money into bolt ons for my ecoboost.

While everyone keeps attempting to "one up" each other on getting the (best) Deal, regardless of Promotions, Incentives, Zero Percent Financing, X-Plan Pricing, purchasing (any) Vehicle Brand New is a losing proposition. I`ve bought (new) Cars my entire life and this last `15 Mustang Convertible will be it, period! In Florida, there is a huge Dealer called OffleaseOnly.com. 3 locations, Miami, Palm Beach & Orlando. You can find virtually any Vehicle your looking for (including) 2015`s with less the 8K miles driven for almost 30% or less then MSRP. Vehicle with previous collision work done are declared and noted on Window Stick (if) repairs were done. I`ll pocket the 6-8-10K savings in depreciation for a Car that barely had its first Oil Change and still has the remainder of its 3 years 36K Warrantee! Remember, once your (new) Car drives over the curb at the Dealers Lot, there is but one absolute truth. Everyone (drives) a "used" car! True, you might not get your first first color choice or option selection (but) unless you Special Order your Vehicle and wait 3 months for it to arrive, you`ll probably have to deal with that too.

:D Most likely not. I would only do it if I could be at the same payment I am now. Most likely the trade will be a couple thousand off from where I want to be. I love my ecoboost, been great so far. Just exploring due to the current offers. Most likely I will will till this time next year, then give it a serious look on a 16. Would like sync 3.

Doesnt hurt to look.

And ultimately weep and cry at Trade-In time realizing the residual values, just saying.....Enjoy regardless! Me thinks that if you insist on going (new) Leasing may make the most sense if you can`t stomach buying a very lightly used Car of the same Model Year. Just like in Marriage, when one utters the word "love", make sure it touches (wisdom tooth) on way out of mouth! Cheers:cheers:

Something I have learned from the firearms world, if you put sentimental value ahead of monetary value, you sleep easier at night knowing you wont regret the purchase if you never intend to sell.

I have a couple collectible guns that would have appreciated in value if I never shot them. Hut sitting around looking at them to have a gun maybe double in value over 20 years means less to me than 20 years of shooting it and having it be 3/4 of it's present value.

I do not intend to sell my 95, 05, and certainly not my 15.

For me, it is 1970s all over again. I am acquiring things for sentimental and enjoyment purposes. Not getting my car for a screaming deal isnt hurting me.

Got my 2015 GT PP on wednesday. I qualified for 1000 cash back and 0% for 72 months. Also, stacked my 750 private cash offer and 500 dollar graduate rebate on it.
