They might be, I'm assuming you called Ford and asked about the private cash before? I did that about a month ago and didn't think it was successful but maybe that worked...?

I need some input. It's really difficult, and possibly stupid, to pass up $2000 of rebates ON TOP OF X-plan. If I forego Navigation I could get OTD at $36,900 for GT Premium w/PP assuming I trade in my S197 with the dealer. That's roughly the MSRP price of just a regular GT Premium.

F*** I really want SYNC3 but if I order a 2016 I'll likely be paying OTD price of ~$39k. Do you guys think the aftermarket will come through with swapping out MFT for SYNC3 for like $2k in a few years?

Dang $2,000 in rebates? May i ask what the rebates are and what dealer your buying from? if i were you i would move forward with the purchase at that steal of a price. But then again i don't think Sync is that great

There's the standard $500 customer cash + the $750 Lease Conquest Cash that I qualify for + the $750 private cash.

Yeah I see $36,900 (possibly even less) staring me in the face and I'm just thinking how can I pass that up, especially considering that just a few weeks ago my goal was to get OTD at $41k; granted I used to be considering more options than I am now but still.

Mine told me that if Ford didn't honor my private cash, they would just discount me the difference. They said that how it would work for me is that if there were better rebates upon delivery, I'd get the better deal...

If the Dealership can`t collect the Cash Back Incentive monies from Ford, you actually believe that they will eat between $750 to $1250 when gross margins are barely a few hundred dollars over (invoice) not counting their "hold back" money? Unless they steal your late model Trade-In or tack on $700 or more in Dealer Fee`s at time of delivery, you sure have a lot of "faith"! Best of luck.

I expect that it will be reactionary. We will see why people are coming to the new Mustang in droves, is it the styling? Sales will continue. Is it the power? Some may jump ship. Pent up demand for a post S197? They will trail off anyhow. IRS and Mustang? Should make no difference as Camaro had that before.

Its like comparing Apples with Oranges. Those that are Mustang buyers won`t pay any mind to the new improved 16` Camaro as well as Camaro buyers for the most past weren`t swayed into purchasing a 15` or 16` Mustang. Both Cars have their own Buyer base and an extra $500 or even $1000 won`t compel a potential buyer from switching his choice and ultimate decision.
