I have never ordered a car from the manufacturer before, and I was wondering what the chances are for some kind of incentives/rebates come this september/october.

Any experience/insight?

I suspect we will get a 500 rebate but thats about it if anything.

If you use the X-Plan theres usually not much you can put ontop of that deal. Which im not too upset about.

I'd be surprised if Ford offers any significant incentives on the much hyped, all new Mustang. You wouldn't expect that until the interest has died down some.

I'm currently at 300 below invoice.

Hoping for anything more :) already happy.

Maybe I misread you, but with X-Plan you are eligible for all Ford rebates and incentives, so if it is there you get it. Dealer discounts are not protected so you may lose that. With that said, we got a $1000 rebate plus the option for 0% on our Fusion and we ordered that the first day the ordering was possible, so it is not out of the question that this is offered in advance of any known demand just to make sure there is demand.

I feel that today (again a feel more than having any evidence or proof) more than ever the expectation of rebates is built into the price to make you "feel" like you are getting a good deal, especially on trucks. If you pay $35k for a vehicle as a sticker price, or you pay $35k but the sticker price is $42k and you get $7k of rebates and incentives, you will feel much better about the latter... but as with anything I say, I could be very wrong :)

Not all rebates and incentives can be used with x-plan. The military rebate for instance cannot be used.

Can the recent college grad rebate be used with X-Plan?

Wow, I was reading the website about the college student/grad one and it just says "all new 13/14MY ford car, SUV, and truck through f550..."see dealer for complete list of elligible vehicles" would this then include Shelby models? I wonder if it will continue and include s550 when available and possibly the SVT variant next year. $500 isn't much but my grad school is expensive so turning that into $500 off a new car would be nice! Lol

I paid MSRP. My dealer wasn't accepting any rebates or discounts of any kind on 2015's -- 2014, now, I could basically get for half price if I wanted.

Join the MCA for $50 to get X-plan and/or find a new dealer maybe?

There is no reason to pay MSRP unless you ordered an LE...

Try to find a new "My dealer". Doesn't sound like they are doing you any favors, so why do them any and paid full price. They make more money and you get zero in return, well except for an inflated payment and less in your bank account.

Agreed, if you're paying full MSRP for anything outside of the 50th LE, you're doing something wrong.

Yeah that sucks and the dealer is screwing you big time, call 2-3 dealers close by and see if they will accept X plan..

Dude...you will save almost $2k by doing this, PLEASE don't pay MSRP unless it's a LE.

Tell us who this dealer is and I'll call myself and give them a hard time...
