Sorry to see this happen.
At least they stopped and owned up to it. Geico seems to be a good company from the experiences in my family.

TY and RR are tough colors to paint but doesnt mean it cant be done right. Just do a little homework before you choose a shop.

If you were in Socal, I could direct you to the shop that is prepping and painting my hood.

Good luck and Im sure she will be good as new.
Thanks, MellowYellow.

The body shop I'm using is the best that could find here in Central Texas. They are certified to repair high end, luxury cars such as Bentley, Aston Martin, Mercedes, etc. Everyone who has used them that I've spoken to say their work is excellent.

So, I'm feeling pretty good about the quality of the repairs.

Got Ruby back from the shop today. Can't say enough good about Berli's Body and Auto Fine Finishes. You can examine her closely - I did - and you can't tell where or what has been repaired and painted. And customer service is top notch. Kudos to John Clayton.

Also got the Velgen VBM7s and Bridgestone Potenzas mounted and installed today.

Next up, installing Steeda's progressive lowering springs. Hopefully in the next day or so.

I'm gonna be listing my PP wheels and tires for sale in the classified section if anyone is interested. The TPMSs will be included.

Awesome ... glad she's as good (or better) than new!

PIIIIIICS!!!!!!!!
No pics yet, Darren. By the time I got her home from the tire shop, it was pretty much dark.

I'll post a few tomorrow and then again after I get her lowered.

I know the diameter of the new 20s is supposed to be close to the diameter of the PP 19s, but it looks to me like theres a bit more wheel gap with the new set up.

Oh well, the Steeda springs should take care of it.

What a great read! Bummer of a ding, but not too drastic, and fixed to a standard you are happy with. It can't have gone better really! I'm joining to see the fixed pics, even though it'll just look like a normal, non-dinged car, but hey

Thanks, Brad. I'll take a few pics later this morning post them up. And yes, the pics will show the car as it looked pre-ding. And that's a good thing. Cheers, Mate.

Update on Ruby. The repair estimate is now a bit north of $8k. Geico has approved the repairs at this amount. Should get her back the end of September or early October.

Repairs at this body shop take a while, but they do excellent work.
$8k?? Wow. I've never heard of a number that high with the amount of damage indicated. As long as you're not flipping the bill and you're happy with the work, I guess it all worked out.

Here are a few quick pics that took this morning. The damage was to the right rear quarter panel and rear bumper. Both were replaced with OEM parts and painted.

And these pics show the new wheels and tires. Gotta get the lowering springs installed to lessen the wheel gap.
