How long did it take to make the wastegate work with that setup? Were there any tuning or belt slip issues? I wanted to look inot this more but the search function on this forum didn't like big words...and other posts date back to 2015. That stage 2 procharger kit is exactly what i'm looking for . How do you like the p1x?
No issues with the wastegate setup. Made an unbelievable difference in the feel of the car. No more waiting for boost to build up it's just there all the time. Dakota at Lund has done all my tuning and it's been spot on. I've ran an Autozone belt and Gates Green belt now, no belt slip issues with either one, the stage 2 tensioner is extremely heavy duty.

I had the wastegate flange welded onto the intercooler end tank, and my BOV on the hot pipe going into the intercooler. Boost reference is on the pipe before the BOV as well. I just realized all my pictures are broken but page 3 of my build log has lots of info on my wastegate setup. I'll try to fix the pictures tonight.

Loving the P1X, it's a great "little" blower. However if I could do it all over again I may have gotten a D1SC for more growth potential if I ever go with a built motor.

Only one word of caution when wastegating a P1X. Since the X (versus the P1SC) flows so much more air in upper RPMs, it also outflowed my wastegate spring. A friend of mine has the same exact setup as me on a P1SC. A 12psi spring in his wastegate makes 12-13psi total. For me a 12psi spring made 19psi. Dropped down to a 7psi spring and still hit 16psi and lost alot of midrange. So word of advice from my experience, if you're wastegating a P1X go with a boost controller. I have an eBoost Street and it works like a charm and I can adjust my boost as needed and not worry about changing springs or overboosting.

Just like the OP i'm looking for a dd with around 650-700whp. If I wanted to go big boost i'd go built motor with twins but thats WAYYYYY in the future if ever. Having control over the boost was very enticing to me and i'll probably go with the exact same setup as you haha. Thanks for the word of warning on the spring too....thanks

Those blowers would be pretty equal. Id personally stick with the P1X.
I haven't seen a person max one out yet. But I am willing to bet it would be right at the same point of the D1SC. (meaning on a car, not on the test benches)

You got a great little blower there. :)

The boost controller was a great addition to my setup. I used a 4 port solenoid and was able to bring boost on quicker than with the spring since the controller can hold the gate shut until the exact moment. It's nice to be able to experiment with adjusting boost and boost curve without needing to make any pulley or spring changes. Especially useful if switching between E85 and 93 also. Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.

Think you can get a stage 2 Whipple with dual fans, 3 pulleys, upgraded IC pump and throttle body for $6k installed. Should be 700+ RWHP with your headers.
Might need to put on big boy pants with that kinda torque available.

For pure budget entertainment, beefcake special is untouchable with his support.
