My wife's favorite is the Woodford Reserve Double Oaked.

I had some Elijah Craig Toasted Barrel last night, Very good. I was looking for it for a long time and my wife found some to surprise me with for Christmas

I realize this was yesterday but I've been learning to make a decent White Russian for my dad this year since he likes them, and had a few last night with different proportions of vodka, Kahlua, and different types of cream to figure out the right combo, also in honor of his dude-ness:

Normally it's some type of bourbon, whiskey, and often the occasional gin martini that I'll get a kick for, but it's different every year. Last year it was Buffalo Trace but that's not available around me right now. in 2019 it was all about Mickter's Bourbon. I'd also like to learn how to make rum drinks. I found an interesting way to make grog that I want to try out, and I'm a big fan of Sailor Jerry spiced rum.

The craziest kick I was ever on was learning how to concoct the right way to make a drink using Absinthe.

I don't remember what year that was...

:)

So far my favorite spiced rum is Kracken with 50/50 orange/pineapple mix and a touch of heavy whipping cream. Poor man’s pain killer. Fwiw I like sailor Jerry but every time I’d wake up at 2-3 am wide ass awake.

For a bourbon that you can find any where, it is definitely my go to. Incredibly smooth and the oak profile doesn't seem cheap like others.

My all time favorite probably being Blade and Bow. Yes, I've had Blantons. I have two bottles right now that some how ended up in a Walmart near the border of Mexico. I fear that now supply is up, quality dipped.

I personally like Angel's but can't justify the price point. The Rye however is my favorite rye on the market with Whistle Pig as a close second suprisingly.

Got a line on some Rip Van Winkle and Antique and a few other's at retail pricing.

I'll post pics if it actually happens.

They were supposed to have 1500 bottles for sale. Open at 8. I got there at 6 and there were 2000 people in line. 6.30 they announced they only had 500 bottles.

Oh well maybe another time, only next time, if there is one, I'll get there at midnight with a cot.
