So I was on the fence about keeping matte, wrapping gloss or even painting one of the two. SO, before I pulled the trigger on either I ended up doing the best of both worlds and I’m stoked! Top Gloss, bottom/back matte.

Taped off, wet sanded 1500> 2500 > then 3 step compound and polish then wax. I can say it came out fantastic for an “unpainted piece” that was half the cost of a painted piece. Well worth the “lets See how this ends up” lol

From how the description started out I was worried, but it looks like it came out damn nice! That shine was just from using the polisher?

Hahah thanks, well a few steps. Wet sanded 1500 then 2500. The cut, less cut , polish, Selant/ was about 90%
Of it all ;p

Looks great!

What model of Icon wing is that? Would this line up with existing wing holes??

It’s the “15-18 Ford Mustang Coupe H Style High Kick V Unpainted Trunk Spoiler - ABS”

I’m not sure if it’ll cover existing holes. I have the spoiler delete so luckily had no holes to cover. I’m guessing it wouldn’t because it doesn’t come more than an inch up on the deck lid.

Yea, that really looks good, great job of making it look like that! I mean, if you hadn’t posted what you did to it in bare form, it does look like it has been painted.
