Sorry to ask dummy question but I still did not find exact answer.
I am wondering how to tell from pictures if the mustang has optional Performance pack or not.
I thought that Performance packet is clearly identify by two gauges in the middle of dashboard and Brembo brakes. I know that PP1 also include some other stuff like swaybars, suspension tuning.. but now I only care how to identify from pictures. (I am going to buy 2018/2019 GT 5.0 and I want to know which mustang is acceptable before I go to long distance trip to check it)

I already saw few mustangs with brembo brakes, PP rims, spoiler but it doesnt have gauges in dashboard. Does this mean that mustang has performance packet or not? PP means strictly that it has gauges in dashboard or is this optional for PP1?
Or if the mustang has brembo brakes it automatically means that it has Pefromance packet?

How can I tell that mustang has Magneride suspension (from pictures)?
I think magneride suspension is identify only by person check wires coming from shocks, is it true?

The PP is the whole package. Wheels, Brembo, Suspension, gauges, etc. If a car is missing one of those components, pretty much is a regular Mustang with parts added.

From your location, I assume you're talking about an EU-spec S550?

All non-US/Canada S550s are effectively Performance Pack spec. Brembos, PP multi-spoke wheels, larger sway bars etc. However, we don't get the 2 centre gauges on the dash.

I've got mustang GT 2016 with gauges, brembo, rims, swaybars.. it was PP but it was US version and now I want to buy facelift 2018.

If you’re looking at Brand New S550’s, most Dealerships will display an image of the Window Sticker. The top half of the Window Sticker always shows that model’s base or standard equipment. On the left side of that window sticker, in the BOTTOM section below the standard equipment, that is the area where the additional Option Packages are listed. If the S550 was equipped with Performance Package, it will specially state there the Performance Package and list the accompanying parts with a total cost for that package.

IF you’re looking at online S550 Ford Dealership, 2nd/3rd Party Dealership, Auction, Salvage Facility or Private Party ads where a Window Sticker is NOT present on a S550 - don’t assume, be careful and read further below on how to determine what you’re looking at.

—

Owners of Non-PP S550’s can buy and install the PP center dash appliquĂ© and the associated gauge pack..

So if the car has the center dash appliquĂ© with only (2) HVAC vents and the (2) gauges between those vents, it won’t always confirm it’s a true PP equipped GT or EB. This applies to all 2015-current.

Other PP parts can easily have been added to a non-PP S550, such as brake calipers, sway bars, wheels, body appearance trim, , etc).

—
Since inception of the S550, a “Premium model is usually one that has upgrades over the standard features, such as the upholstery is upgraded to leather from cloth or from standard bucket seats to Recaro,, SYNC/stereo features, BLIS, security - stuff like that.

There is a “Premium” PP and a “Non-Premium” PP - essentially one with fluff and one without. Regardless of which, again in the bottom left section of the Window Sticker it will specially state Performance Package separate from the fluff IF the car was factory built as such.

To truly confirm a New or Used Performance Pack S550 (GT or EB):

If being sold from a Ford Dealership, you can request the Dealership to run the VIN through Ford OASIS (or them being ‘Ford’, should have access to produce the original Window Sticker if it’s within 5-10 years of its production date).

If it’s a private sale or non-Ford Dealer, Auction, Salvage Facility or Private Party:
1) You can run the VIN through one of those online sites that supposedly produces the original window sticker. Some work, some don’t so there’s really no definitive “freebie” site that one can rely on to producing the window sticker.

2) You can run the VIN through Ford to get As Built data. Either site will work regardless if the S500 was a US Spec or EURO Spec model.
Ford Motorcraft (US):
https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Home/SetCountry?returnUrl=https://www.motorcraftservice.com:14002/AsBuilt

Ford ETIS (EURO) info:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/th...equipments-with-ford-etis-and-your-vin.23760/

3) You can go to this thread and ask to run the VIN:
https://www.mustang6g.com/forums/threads/window-sticker.107986/

—

The window sticker or having access to the As Built data is the ONLY way to confirm the car was truly built from the factory with Performance Pack equipment (option package). Do not rely on just “visuals” if not having the Window Sticker or As Built info.

So if you’re really wanting a TRUE PP (or PP2) equipped GT or EB, get the window sticker or As Built data to confirm what you are paying for IS a genuine PP (or PP2).

Cobra Jet many thanks

I was cofused because I found few mustangs US spec now (narrow rearview mirror, red taillights) which have brembo brakes, PP rims, but no center gauges.. I have to get VIN of those to confirm.

Also keep in mind that while Euro spec cars got most of performance pack components from factory, they did not get Torsen diff, tower strut brace (if I remember correctly) and not sure what else (might be it).
