I ordered, I think?!

On monday, 9 Feb 15, the salesman said he was putting my order in. I'm feeling a little skeptical, as I have heard nothing back.:shrug: Feels like they are up to no good, I was already told that by the time the Mustang gets in, the value of my car might decrease.:doh: They already know I'm not driving it. It's starting to feel like they want to order the car and not sell it to me for the promised price.addle:

How long does it take to hear back from the dealership?

I can't give that information, but I can tell you mid-Florida if that helps set your mind at ease. I see you are from south-Florida. If this is a run-around, I will post the name everywhere, and even have it in my signature.

I like the way my dealer handled the order. Had me sit next to him at his desk...brought up the order system on his computer. We put in the options and the Priority #. When the configuration was done he handed me the mouse and told me to hit "Submit". Cool. Then we watched while the computer took the order. He then printed out the Deal sheet, gave me the deal and dealership #'s and good to go. No question at all the car was ordered and Priority set.

Mine was put in back in Mid-Nov and only got built Feb. Could take a long wait

Bingo! That is exactly how my sales guy did it. We had talked several times before I came in on the phone and via IM, so he knew what I wanted. I walked out of the dealer with the DORA in my hand and we found it on COTUS before I left the dealer.

Mine was done by the GM. I built it on the Ford site first, then he highlighted the options i wanted on the car, along with the color, then entered it into the system, and then took my money. A couple hours later i was emailed the DORA, everything was correct and priority set.

It doesn't matter now. I cancelled the order, if in fact, there was an order.:lol:

Wow, I didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I ordered mine through a sales guy over text messaging, and I didn't hear anything from him for a month and 1 week, Then it was followed up with "expect VIN next week." And keep in mind my cousin is the sales manager there lol. Your car would have probably be there around April. On the plus side, when you pick it up, THATS when all the deals/rebates/cash back stuff is assessed. So the later in the model year you take delivery the more likely you'll receive one of those!

I just built mine on Ford's website and emailed him the sticker from the tool.
