So I ordered on 7/8, finally built 9/29. I was one of the unfortunate ones that the car was shipped, then sent back. I told my dealer that I was done, not waiting another month for it.
Looked around online and found one very similar. Confirmed it was there, went for a test drive, and no car, it's on order...
Got a call today, the car is in! ...notice anything off?

Well first of all, congrats.

These Mustang bumper covers seems to be Ford's weak point.
Really, mine is off a bit, but not quite as much as yours, and will be fixed by dealership.

My car arrived at the dealership yesterday and i spent a good amount of time looking for issues which could be adressed before taking delivery of the car.

Tomorrow is the day i'm picking it up and signing the papers.

I'm sure Ford is fully aware of these problems. They just cannot justify slowing down the production line for fixing body panel when they know real well that their dealerships will take care of it.

Is it acceptable ? Hell no. Is it within Ford's acceptable tolerances ? I have to say yes unfortunately.

I care about infotainment
No, it's just the angle of the photo. Mine did the same but closer to the door.

You got your car MP??? Is this the first photo you've posted of it? Holy crap it looks amazing! The Ingot w/black PP wheels and the black painted roof look so good. :headbang:

So ordered car just won't come...second car has huge gap, and third car looks like a dealer billboard. Never thought buying a car could be this difficult!

I don't understand, the dealership will fix the bumper, and the dealership badge can be removed in about 10-15 minute? Don't be so picky brotha.

The first dealer said to fix it, they need to order a new bumper, they estimate a week or two. They are going to call me when it's done. I wouldn't buy it unless i know that its fixed properly.
The second dealer wouldn't remove the badging, told me that I can do it but they like it on. I wouldn't want to risk scratching it up. Probably would come off easily, but I'm not risking it. But it wasn't just that, their price was ok, not good, but not bad. They also installed a front plate bracket, I'm going with a sto n sho, so it was a combo of things.

So you're saying the Bumper cover is a few mm off which will take all of about an hour for the dealer to fix so you'd rather walk?
Edit:, just read you post above, that dealer who says he needs to order a bumper is full of shit. The second one who won't remove the badge? guess he put some really good glue on it.

No need to order a bumper to fix that....

and

Second one's a no go then, but like I said, any dealer can have their detail guy take that shit off. Hell I'd buy the car, then get the keys and drive it around to the detail bay, and give the detailer $20 to get it off, and go toss it on the salesman's desk.

So the update; the dealer with the gap, service department said they could fix it. They called me back, wouldn't be perfect by popping it back, some parts underneath that weren't right. Only way to make 100% perfect is to replace the bumper. Will take 1-2 weeks. They agreed if I'm not 100% happy or it takes longer than two weeks, refund with no problems, all in writing.
Here is the best part, it has all the options of my ordered car, plus three more (floor mats, reverse park assist and enhanced security) and the price is 900 less.
I don't know if the bumper really needed replacing, but the service manager is a mustang guy and said it should be done right. So I trust that (not costing me anything) when I asked for no front plate and no dealer sticker, he said he never puts either on a mustang unless asked.
