I hope this is the correct form (probably not knowing me- if not, mods, please move it). I figured this one would have a good knowledge base.
I'm a bit confused on what's happening since I changed some front end components.

Previously I had 9" factory Bullitt wheels up front, 25MM spacers and Michelin PS4S's in a 245/40x19.

I switched to 9.5" factory wheels (put a set of rear wheels on the front), same 25MM spacers but now Continental ExtremeContact Sports in a 275/40x19.

All other front-end components remain untouched. Magneride set at sport as before.

I now have a touch of understeer/push on my favorite cloverleaf. Maybe tire roll? Tires are at 32PSI as was the PS4S's. Do I need to up the tire pressure for the Conti's?

The extra wheel width is all set inwards and I was told the alignment should not need to be changed (or rather the wheels wouldn't affect the alignment) but I am not sure what the wider wheel/tire is doing to me up-front, Can the change to the wheel width cause this effect?

Maybe the Conti's aren't on par with the Michelins?

Any insight would be much appreciated, Thanks!

EDIT: And also, my apologies, I failed to mention I did replace all four with the Conti's

They are both very good tires but you have an all season tire and summer tire so yes most likely is that

I have the Sports not the DWS 06. It is my understanding these are a summer only tire.

Are the contis brand new? Like, they may need a hundred miles or so to break in.

How old were your MP4S? Old MP4S vs new ECS will feel quite different, with the ECS probably feeling squirmy.

I had a pair of new Contis on the back of my s197 a few years back.
Slick as eel shit until I spun them in the rain a few times.
I figure it was some mold release goop from the manufacturing process.
Gripped just fine after that.

ExtremeContact Sports are the competitor to the PS4S.

I have them on my car after replacing the original PS4S and they are very sticky. They're not an all season tire as OP said.

If your tire is rolling, you'd know it by visibility checking the tire arrows to see if you've inflated the tires correctly and also if the sidewall has road rash. Your goal is not to get wear passed the arrow. Takes a little bit of playing around to find that sweet spot.

Those arrows are only there to indicate where the wear indicators are located on the tire.

Thanks but the OP (me:) ) did not say that. The first person that responded said that. ;)

The Contis are brand new with about 500 miles on them. The PS4S's had about 6k miles on them. Between the wheel change, a flat tire and lack of availability. I replaced all four tires with the Contis

yeah the Contis should feel a bit squirmy, may need different tire pressures to work well, and are one half-step down in performance from the MP4S (they're reportedly closer to the previous MPSS).

At 500 miles they should be through any initial mold release compound.

No, I meant you corrected the idea already. You said they were summers not all seasons as whoever that was seemed to infer.

I think I will go to 34 psi and see. I have a semi-good chance to test them out as there's a bunch of us going to some hill country roads in central Texas this weekend. Gonna be cold'ish but hopefully dry.

Waiting to see what happens on the PS5 introduction. Hopefully there's a full on summer version in the works

Are they the Conti DWS06? And yes, I would definately up the pressure on the tires
