I need help with connectors

I’m trying to wire up my eBay RTR lights (I know I can get the real ones, but I like the fake ones with the white color) You have to wire these to your fog light connections.

Do the fog light connectors exist? The ones that are molded onto the fog light?

I’m planning to buy these

and my goal is to make an adapter wiring harness so I don’t have to splice into my actual wiring harness, in case I wanna ditch them later on.

I’m curious if they sell a connector that plugs into this connector?

If not, my plan is to somehow SAFELY connect the plugs I bought and hook them up like this

And plug the other side into the fog lights, allowing me to tap into the adapter harness.

How can I do this safely? Shove the ends in and wrap with electrical tape?

Good reference to the pigtail list, but your statement is wrong, it is too short-sighted.
You will only find connectors there that are used by Ford.
Just because Ford does not have the mating connector in its range does not mean that it is not available from the connector manufacturer (usualy single pieces, not a pigtail!)

You need a proper connection for your lights. Bare wires + electricity + complex electrical systems = problems.

You provided a photo. Go to page 25 of the attached, WPT-944 (Silver) 9U2Z-14S411-NA; this appears to be your connector. The attached catalog shows all Female connectors. The car is the provider end. An accessory would have the Male counterpart.

I did some initial searches on-line and did not find an exact match for a supporting Male connector.

Options...

1) Now that you know the PN#, stop by a Dealer and work with them to see if they can source a male plug.

2) https://www.mouser.com/c/connectors/automotive-connectors/ Careful. This site is humungous.

3) Take to the junk yards. See if you can hack a male one from a junker. Go to page 447 of the book provided earlier by @luca1290 . WPT-944 is highlighted, where all used and different models. Now, you know where to hack from.

4) The initial pages of the attached highlight terminal kits. These are the Male ends, individual pins, which could be plugged into an existing Female connector, the other end/s crimped or soldered into place. I prefer a solid Male/Female connector assembly.

5) Google, Google and Google some more.

So, no solutions, but some ideas. I'd first chat up the dealer and see where that takes you. You're not the first to walk in an ask for a Male connection (pun intended). :giggle: Seriously, Good Luck.

This should be your mating connector: https://www.molex.com/en-us/products/part-detail/334810601
and its male terminals: https://www.molex.com/en-us/part-list/33000
and its plug for unused cavities: https://www.molex.com/en-us/products/part-detail/343450001

And this is the connector on your harness (no pigtail like WPT-944): https://www.molex.com/en-us/products/part-detail/334716001
and its female terminals: https://www.molex.com/en-us/part-list/33012
and its plug for unused cavities: https://www.molex.com/en-us/products/part-detail/343454001

You can source most or all of it at www.mouser.com.
Choose the terminals depending on the wire gauge you want to use for your adaptor.

AWG 20 seems to be the wire gauge of the OEM harness for this lamps (MY 2020 wiring diagram).

He does not want to f up his OEM wiring harness, what e.g. those linked wire splices / taps do.
These splices are almost the worst way to do it, ranked shotly behind striping the insulation and wraping the new wire around it.

Just ordered some items for that list! Thank you very much! You saved me countless hours connector searching. They’re coming in next week!

Been running them on my meth kit and boost controller for 50k miles on this car. I'll let you know when they become an issue.

You can just do it somehow, and if you get problems fix it, or you do it in the quality an OEM does.
It's up to you!

I don't know your background, mine is electrical engineering and maintenance in the chemical and heavy industry, the car thing is just a hobby.
The splice you have used will damage both, the strands of the wire you tap and the insulation.
On one hand, this means that the cross-section can no longer correspond to the dimensioned gauge, which can lead to hot spots. On the other hand, the copper of the strands can oxidize due to the damaged insulation, which makes the contact point of the tap highly resistive, which also leads to hot spots and can affect the function. The mechanical strength is also reduced, and in the worst case scenario, the tapped cable may break at some point.
As a result, this may or may not work well for a while inside the vehicle. On the outside of the vehicle, as here, the tapped joint will unfortunately "age" much faster, which will lead to problems sooner if the vehicle is not only used in good weather.
In the worst case, the part of the wiring harness or the whole car will simply burn down.

Nevertheless, these splices have their justification!
If you can repair something somewhere in the field without any other options, you can save yourself until you have the opportunity to do it properly.
