I hate drone

coming from someone who spent the 600 on a MBRP race system: Buy a different exhaust then this. the Ford Racing Sport catback is great. no drone. not loud until you get on it. If you want loud, and great sound, go with CORSA.
the MBRP is good for the money you spend on it. BUT it drones, it is loud, and scares children.
Just my two cents.

I can agree, at least with the Race system there is drone. The sound in the city is amazing but highway there is quite a bit of drone. Now I have read the street doesn't have drone and does offer quite a bit more sound and deep sound without the drone and just a lot of noise. The Race is loud as it name states it is a race system.

We design our mufflers to minimize drone in the passenger compartment and, generally speaking, to be pretty close to stock volume levels at idle and at cruise. The engine note does, however, come alive with a smooth, throaty tone when you put your foot into it. Here's a short video clip that demonstrates that sound:

The Street Series would probably be more aligned with what you're looking for in eliminating drone while also getting a good sound when you want it.

Well I'm going to put in my two cents on the Drone... (I have gave it before here) Made the mistake of listening to everyone in the forums about the Gibson. lol "Oh no it sounds good and no drone on the highway." I really think some people may be confused on what drone is. Purchased the Gibson and it sounded good but on the highway it would split your skull with drone. My mistake lesson learned. Finally decided on the Corsa and it was just what I wanted in the first place. Awesome sound... Loud when you want to be loud... Highway almost as quiet as stock with a slight deep pitch. No Drone what so ever! No headaches after a 30 mile drive... WOT is all business... Not sure I will put another brand on my cars from here on out.

yea corsa seems to be the way to go! but for $1300 I will need to wait a while! for me at the moment I might just go with the mid pipe and save a full cat back for next year!

Is there any drone with the Ford Racing Sport Cat-back? I've read around and have heard some people say that there is none, while others say that it is unbearable. People define drone in different ways, but what I want to know is if, while cruising, the exhaust is so loud that it is constantly drowning out the cabin with its noise and making conversation (or even thinking!) impossible.

there is zero drone. there is a slight tone on cruising at 70mph but with radio on or people talking you won't even hear it. It has to be completely quiet in cabin to hear it but that is not drone.

anyone that tells you that borla drones, doesn't know what drone is.

listen to the last two secs of the video I posted. that's 6th gear at 60mph after I got off it, and i think right at 3k rpm trying to look at the gauge. you can't even hear it.
