I'm just cuttin a 1.7 60ft on a DR and I'm spinning the rim some I'm launch my car at 6500-7k each pass. The valve stem was lined up with the dot.

for every 10th you can lower the 60 you can usually expect to
pick up 2 tenths at the stripe

I've always been able to put a lot of boost at the start with slicks and very minimal boost on the line with drag radials.

Congrats on a very strong car Tim. 9's with tubes and screws or whatever you feel will work best for you.

Yeah, NHRA wouldn't permit sub12's without a cage some 25 years ago. Things have changed I guess now with the newer/safer cars.:ford:

I don't know how they haven't thrown you out yet? I ran an 11.4 in my 95 a few years ago and had half the track staff waiting for me in the return lane. LOL They couldn't wait to tell me to beat it or pull the bottle.

I wouldn't see why the track would worry, unless they would lose sanctioning. You sign a waiver to race, so they can't be held liable anyway.

Sorry, I'm old but I'm not buying that the track he's running these 10.xx second ET/130xxMPH numbers at will continue to allow him to run wihout a roll cage. Maybe I'm wrong but I doubt it.....

My local 1/8th mile track does not require you to wear a helmet until you are in the 7.xs

NHRA changed their rules from 11.99 for a cage to 9.99....so many stock cars run 10's and 11's now compared to a decade ago.
