NHRA changed their rules from 11.99 for a cage to 9.99....so many stock cars run 10's and 11's now compared to a decade ago.

I think the exact rule is for "stock unaltered" cars. Tracks that hold bigger events are more likely to be strict about the rules. Atco is extremely strict. But at Cecil county drag way just about anything goes most nights.

So many different classes and rules now, plus the track can impose different stuff as well. This is just from the link below.

For a cage it looks like it's 10.99 or quicker and 135mph or faster.
(Bar allowed in unaltered car 10.00-10.99)

All of these rules presuppose an NHRA sanctioned track.

If not, the rules and enforcement is all up to the owner.

Holy crap I remember this thread. I guess this was a warning sign. I hope the car is able to be repaired and get back to stomping hellcats
