Not to any of us who have purchased a 18+ fully loaded GT. It’s what they are.IDK, seems like a lot of money for a Mustang GT.
The CD player is part of the B&O system. The sticker just doesn’t show it right.$1000 for a freaking single-CD player? Is this sticker a forgery?
The described car is basically a 'premium' version of a PP2 just with A10 trans.
Even the 2020 premium GTs around here are a solid 15% off if not more. So the preposterous starting price aside, you need to find a more competitive market to shop from.
@Speedbump here's your same car priced properly.

and an exact match except for color (has the stupid CD player) also priced 16% off and it's not even on the show room yet!

OP isn’t asking if this the right car for him, he’s asking about the discount.Well, that car has pretty much every option so yeah its gunna be expensive.
Some questions to ask yourself:
If you're going aftermarket suspension, exhaust, etc do you really need mag ride and active exhaust?
If you are DD'ing w/o tracking, do you really need the PP1? (3.55 gear option instead?)
I've bought 4 Super Duty trucks and my 2018 Mustang PP2 from a dealer in the southern Willamette Valley of Oregon. When buying the trucks, I've always received an approx. 15% discount, even on the 2017 Super Duty that I special ordered. The PP2 I had to pay sticker price because they were only allocated two Level 2 cars that year, but I did special order the Level 2.So I am on the hunt for a car. I’ve sent several to my salesman and told him I’d take a 2019 if he can find one. In the mean time I found this one. He says 3k room to negotiate. Wondering what y’all think
My premium auto gt was only about 40k in 2016. Granted it only had upgraded wheels and NAV as options, but I cant see paying near 55k for a GT even if its totally loaded. Now if it was a GT350 or supercharged, yeah. The challenger I want is approaching low 50's also which I think is too much. I don't like the way Dodge and Ford make you pay for packages you don't want to get the option you do want. IMO Chevy has the best packages, most options and more realistic prices of the three. The only downside is the summer only tires with the SS. I also wish the front end was a little prettier, there was more trunk room and it didn't sit quite as low or it would be a no brainer. As it is its a real tough choice between them as they all have their pluses and minuses. Not to any of us who have purchased a 18+ fully loaded GT. It’s what they are.
Stick with percentage off not a discount number. Trucks are different that Mustangs, remember that.So I am on the hunt for a car. For a 2019, yes but he posted the sticker on a 2020. He won't get 12% off + any other discounts on a 2020.Stick with percentage off not a discount number. Trucks are different that Mustangs, remember that.
On a Mustang ask for 12% off the MSRP as the dealer discount on a 19 leftover, that's about as good as it gets.
$54,160 MSRP x 12% = Dealer discount of $6,499.20
Then deduct any rebate you qualify for and add tax, title and doc fee.
If you have a trade, do the exercise listed above first then subtract the trade value so you know how much they are actually giving you for the trade.

That's so utterly WRONG it's hilarious.He won't get 12% off + any other discounts on a 2020
Out of curiosity, how do I verify the 12%? Ive worked with these guys to get the car brought up from California. When we agreed on the price they said there wasn’t any more incentives etc.Stick with percentage off not a discount number. Trucks are different that Mustangs, remember that.
