The place I deal with, due to legal issues & unwanted government attention Won't delete the rear o2's, cause for emissions testing the o2 have to be in a 'ready' state. No ready = instant fail.

If you live in a place like california, where the law enforce this kind of stuff. Id get myself a green catted set of headers that is compliant with your state. Or keep the stock manifold
Not worth the trouble you can get for 30 rwhp, get your power from somewhere else. Full catback also gives good gains and don't make your car stinky or break the rules

Good cold air, Ecu Tunes, Catback. Should be good for some ponies
No need to disable ecu safety at that point

Vibrant 11619 90 degree fittings work with my ARH catted headers. I actually needed fittings so that the O2 sensors would clear the Blowfish shifter bracket anyways. Your mileage may vary..

Tuners are no longer able to disable the rear O2 sensors... With that being said, I am not having any issues with recent long tubes and no cats. However I dont wanna burn out my rear O2 sensors so I went with these for good measure....

Just go to your local auto parts store and pickup a set of spark plug defoulers. They are cheap and normally will work to not trigger a code. If it doesn't work your not out much money/time.

Thankfully I have a tune with the rear O2's turned off because all my more recent tunes have them on and I'll never get the O2's ready. Whole reason why I keep a JLT intake on my shelf in the garage for inspection time.

If your tuner don't want to get rid of the code permanently or disable back o2, why would you get a tune in the first place.
Installing headers whether or not that have high-flow cats, itll still throw a code. Nobody wants a check engine on a brand new car

I understand the EPA is strict, but go to another tuner if they don't want to disable it. Its not acceptable to just tune a car and tell the client to deal with the check light

Every european car ive tuned at home with a handheld flash they all had the rear o2 disabled. As long you went stage 2 they know it involved downpipe and it was disabled by default.
Same thing should be done to your mustang, no matter what your tuner is telling you. It can be disabled. There is a difference between not wanting to do it and not possible.
