Cars Illustrated just dynoed another SS but a auto and got 400hp and 410tq.
An automatic transmission typically suffers a bit more parasitic losses. Much, much more than 5hp on many occasions.

A manual Coyote would dyno 365-375, an auto would lose 10-15hp to the wheels.

An automatic that dyno'd 400hp is more unbelievable than a manual at 405 :(

You are correct, but the A8 is more efficient than the auto in the fifth gens.

Lets wait and see what normal runs are, it wont be much longer, guys, bring your car to the track, its fun, and cheap, and eye opening to see what it takes to get a clean good run down the track.

There have been many auto Coyote between 360-370, so it isn't that much off the 6 speed.

Man I have been respectful to almost every single poster. Even thePill haha. I haven't named called any. If you're wanting respect to just be giving out, maybe don't tout your "money and experience." It's not endearing.
Yeah, houses stock cars and vacations on a mustang website.

I do not know, I'm sure someone knows why. You can look at the corvette's to see that it is. It's not much, but is.
I'd like to see some published specs on frictional losses through it to back up that statement. You ever rebuilt an automatic transmission?

I wouldn't say many... 360RWHP from an Auto with a solid axle, 420hp Coyote and the IRS equipped 435hp is pretty good... 370rwhp from either package probably isn't common.

Yes vette, torque tube and coefficient of drag wise.

Explain. Because the trans is at the rear of the vette basically with a driveshaft separating it from the engine. Where as the camaros engine and trans are hooked directly up to each other.

I see more drivetrain loss between the two there than anywhere else. Not to mention that the trans won't overheat anywhere near as much on the camaro as it does on the vette for that very reason. That and the exhaust isnt touching it.

It's not as efficient as it needs to be because of other factors.

I understand that the wheel hp could possibly be better than the camaro of there weren't the loss in between the engine and trans on the vette because the trans is right there at the rear end on the vette.
