You make all kinds of assumptions when its in the maros favor, and discount physics, that's why you are a troll. You think they put the trans in the rear cause it looks good?
It's called Dyno numbers and drivetrain loss compared to others with a different tranny smart guy. The gt350 has 526 hp and dynoed at 467 and 469 hp which is a 11% loss. A Vette has 460 hp and has been dynoed between 405-410 hp which is a 11% loss. The Camaro has 455 hp and has been dynoed at 400 and 405hp which is a 11% loss. All different, yet same loss. The GT has shown a 12% loss. So why is this super efficient Vette tranny getting basically the same loss as others?

You are ignoring the work or technology put forth to get 11% drivetrain losses.

The z28 had an efficient drivetrain... 11-13%, the GT350... 11-13%... C7 Z51... 12-14%... Any rear/mid-engine transaxle... 11-13%... a solid axle... 12-14%...

So why and how does the SS accomplish this feat with the same engineering that went into the V6?

I never understood the sheer energy put into discrediting so many standards...

If they put the same effort into education and learning... boy... what a world it would be...
Yeah, makes me a little crazy sometimes. I guess I wasted that grand on my carbon fiber driveshaft.

The camaro is putting out more than its rated power. And dynos are all over the place and you are cherry picking, or don't have enough measurements. Watch and see when the real world gets them.

I dont trust wheel dynos, I do trust mph if I know accurate weight, I'm in "normal air" with out a big tail or head wind.

The Camaro is SAE certified at 458hp. And yes I will see real world results.

You cant have a very underrated engine. Its SAE certified. If the car actually does perform like Chevy and all the magazines say, will you admit it?

I think you both are missing what he is saying...

The Camaro is truly rated at 455hp...

The vehicle Motor Trend just tested is about 15hp stronger than what is available...

The SS's drivetrain losses should be around 13-15%...

Admit what? that the A8 in the maro is more efficient than the A8 in the vette, or chevy has defied the laws of physics and ran faster than science allows with 450 horsepower, or 458, or 470, or 480?. If the car runs 116 its making more power than they say it is, period, especially if its heavier than they say. When are you going to admit it takes a certain amount of power to move a car to a certain speed in a certain distance no matter how many or what kind of gears it has?.
Tell me why the manual trans is so efficient in the maro, its a 6060 that has been around awhile in many cars isn't it?

Didnt VW just get caught playing games with their tune? So it happens, right. Did we see a 122 mph caddy? yes, I think the burden of proof lies with GM.

I did not say that the A8 is more efficient in the Camaro. I said that the A8 is more efficient than the 5th gens A6.

I just went to that calculator thing. Plugged in 116 at 3760 and it says 458hp.......which is exactly what its SAE rated at.
