I just ordered mine last Monday. My salesman told me expect an easy 12-16 weeks wait. Which is fine by me as we're still in the middle of winter. It just gives me a little more time to save up that down payment and make my monthlies even less!

I'm supposed to get my VIN issued this Thursday apparently and that will give me an idea how long I have to wait for material, production and then shipping.

Got this from my dealer on Saturday. Previous conversation with him a week ago was regarding holdups from unscheduled material holds. I assume those have been taken care of.

"Just thought I would let you know that your car has been locked in. What that means is we should start making big advances on getting it. I will keep you updated because in a short time we should be getting some eta's on times. Thanks again."

This means he received the DORA, yes?

I need the one that can escalate build and delivery. lol I bookmarked the page with this number from an earlier post. It's the one I call every Friday to check on updates for my order.

^^^^^^^^^^^I just called and they say that my car is scheduled but no VIN. He told me that they get a VIN# right before the car is built and as far as he knew, know R's are being built right now and that it might be another 30 days or so....but to check back in a couple of weeks..So looks like I will call around the 1st of March....I will be very interested to learn that anyone with a R, that has been recently scheduled has received a VIN#....and the wait continues....lol
