Whipple was installed in my garage, and never had a second pair of hands to help. In my opinion most of these kits and instructions are made to be easily installed by owner, and in my opinion no one will put more care and attention to detail than the owner. Like it was said above this also gets you connected and learning about what goes into forced induction and its working parts. There are some very good installers that have a lot of experience and will take care to install properly, however there are also a lot of empty promises out there as well. Again in my opinion unless you can confirm a shop has a lot of quality installs behind them on the SC kit you have then I would pass on them. If you have the basic ability and time then you are the best person for the Job:thumbsup:

Does the Procharger make a nice sound? I had a Vortech on my old Mustang and it was kinda quiet.

I really like the idea of the Procharger, but it's not smog legal here in CA
I finished my Procharger install last weekend. Did the whole thing in my driveway (I don't even have a garage) with common hand tools. It took me a bit longer than average, but I'm not very mechanical.

As for sound:

Did the Procharger in the garage. Easy install. Taking off the front bumper sucks, when a manufacturer designs a supercharger that doesn't require the front bumper to come off, let me know.

At the risk of hijacking this thread,
---Whipple SC installs---

1. How did you tune the car after the install?
2. Did Whipple provide the tune?

I used the Whipple Flare device and loaded the Whipple Tune w/ Flight Control System. Most have done the same thing with a few exceptions (Lund/Ken B. remote tunes).

How long did it take you guys to install each of your kits?

As pretty much every s/c kit out there will make enough power to make me happy, I can't make up my mind which one I'd like to go with.

Mine took about 15 hours and then another 3 or so hours to figure out I put the MAF in backwards... :)

Exactly what I was hoping for. Is that the stock blow off? What is the exact set up :headbang:

Off the shelf Procharger stage II system, basic bypass valve, their canned tune. The only upgrade was to the Deatschwerks 95 lb injectors which they have a tune available for. I wanted to start with the off the shelf Procharger before I started getting into custom tunes and such.

Would you say it's possible to complete installation in one day if you had the full day to do it?
