Now that these cars have been out for a while, are there any trouble spots that should be corrected before they get to old or parts break?
I haven't been on the board as much as I should these last few years so forgive me if I'm asking somethings that might have popped up.
I have a 2016...
It was just me running back and forth between the house and the cars....and I didn’t want to block the street to get them side by side for those shots. I have pics of the Camaro I can upload and post tomorrow. Figured everyone on here knew what the Shelby looked like. If I can get some help...
Yeah it is...I wondered why the 1LE never scraped going in the driveway but the Shelby almost always did. When I got them lined up for the pics, I know why. I think the 1LE sticks out further but it is a good 1-2” higher off the ground at that point than the Shelby.
Performance Data Recorder.
It has a HD camera in the rear view mirror that records video as well as full sound. You have a number of overlays you can use with the track map, gear position, throttle, brake, steering angle, car mode, distance, and friction circle.
It also allows you to...
I don't know if anyone has posted about it but now owning both cars, for different reasons, I thought I would share my experiences with the two.
I will start off by saying they are optioned completely different so some parts are just due to that.
The Shelby.
2016 GT350 Track Pack...
I have only owned Chevy's other than one 2006 Mustang GT. Since 2006 all I had were Corvette's and one Audi when I bought the GT350 (2016 track pack).
Corvette vs Shelby....why this matters, I have no idea because they are not the same kind of car but here it goes.
I will say this compared...
GM did the same thing with the C6Z06 and the LS7's. They wouldn't recall them, wouldn't fix it.....waited til the exhaust valve head broke and completely trashed the engine, then and only then would they replace the engine if it was still under warranty.
So far, everything I can find is that it is the same header between the two cars......save for Kooks which is the only one that is doing a stepped header design for the GT350 cars. Everything else about the headers seems to be the same.
If you look at the other headers on the market....they really don't appear to be anything different. They are all 4 into one headers using a 3" collector. They have different primary sizes, some are 1 3/4, 1 7/8, or 2" and Kooks is the only one I see that has a stepped header. I do not see a...
My money is that Multimatic will build them...but yeah Watson could have too.
I have heard $115-120k for one, which is about right. The last Camaro GTS car we built was around $150-160k to build and there was a lot of one off stuff, not a production run of them
