Anyone else getting skeptical on the weight of the car? With all the suspension innovation and whatnot, you would think we would here something about that. All I've heard is Dave P saying they hit there weight targets.
Read this and then see if your opinion changes any. Obviously it's not gospel, but seems like a very reasonable evaluation to me.

In hopes of avoiding derailment of yet another thread over the weight topic, I will simply say that I still think there's a decent chance it has lost weight. We will hopefully find out soon enough and put an end to all the speculation for good...

So I'm supposed to commit to purchasing/ordering a vehicle in 5 days in which I have relatively little info. Thanks Ford. Very helpful.

Well, I WON'T order until I see final pricing AND engine/weight specs. I may have to wait awhile at this rate. Ford needs to release this information by the 20th.

The only thing that we don't officially have are the base car prices themselves (and the upcharge for the highest level interior with the memory seats). There's other information out there in the order guides, including the most of the option prices that were posted early a few weeks ago. If you want that, take a look here.

Ive memorized it at this point. I just need to know base prices to finalize my decision between eco prem or base gt. I need something to sway me one way or the other. Im sure theyll be pretty darn close.

sure but how many cars have been released where 5 days before ordering you don't know the hp, weight, etc.? I think it is an interesting strategy but I'd think they'd plan to release at least some of these figures soon :)

Interesting choice - just from the few "riding impressions" posted in the last 24 hours, it seems the EcoBoost 4 will be fairly entertaining :) Good luck in the decision-making.

Looking back over my purchase history since 1987, I'd say that happened at least one other time - when the 2003 Mach 1 was being released. Those tricky Ford people :)

Actually, for prices, this doesn't seem too unusual, although the Canadian customers got their information today.

The HP, weight, etc., etc. - I think the media people are really trying to play it to the hilt for competitive advantage or to keep the fever burning. Based on some of the posts here, I'd say that's happening!

We are being drip feed information the scary think is most on here know more than your average dealership. Of the 3 I have been talking to only 1 knew how many of the 50th LE they were making only 1 was sure that they were getting 1 and none had seen the order guides. And since we got price for Canadian models I am guessing we will get price then wait another week and get some specs.

Couldn't agree more. This is kind of absurd. I understand that they need everything to be SAE and EPA certified, but that should have been months ago. I keep feeling like they're stalling. They may not be, but the fact that they haven't come out with hp, tq, or weight is not reassuring. The marketing throughout this entire launch has seemed piss poor to me. They may have reasons for what they're doing, but I don't agree with them.

Do you think? And thanks, I'm sure ill be more than happy either way, but do I want a bare bones gt or eco with the bells and whistles? I can't determine what I consider to be a better value. Its almost a coin toss tbh. Coming from an 03 gt they're both an upgrade in the power department
