How can I fix my shift knob gap?

I installed an aftermarket shift knob and now I have a ~ 3/4 - 1 inch gap between the reverse lockout and where the shift knob starts. I was wondering if there was some sort of spacer or longer reverse lockout I could buy to fill the gap?

You didn't put it on correctly. Which one did you install.

Use a jam nut.

The one in the link is just the wrong type of knob, you need one that covers the top of the lockout collar, that’s just a generic knob more suited to civics imo
