nice, the first night in new digs is always fun, even if you only have a sleeping bag…now you and the wife have to *ahem* christen, each and every room 🙈
Thanks! That other piece will have to wait a bit, but we’ll get around to it, lol.

I’ve been gettin’ after it all day loading and unloading a U-Haul truck solo. I’m smoked now, but I got it done!

I just tucked the Bullitt in 10 min. ago. The drive up was the first time I’ve driven it in 13 months, which explains why it’s filthy. It was sitting in the garage at the apartment all that time.

good on you sir! I fly an English gent (deep into the horses) out there every once-in-awhile and would love to swing by and see a garage almost as big as the house…most of us schlubs need to build a separate shop, but you sir have cracked the code!

…I can bring some grass fed/grass finished beef, as I do for my brother who also lives out there 😎👍🏼

That sounds good to me! I’m gonna work hard to get us settled. The last year has been nuts and very uncomfortable, so I’m motivated to get this place dialed in. Once I do, I’ll let you know.

Thanks guys! I hope to get to the shop soon. Right now I’m focusing on the things that my wife would like to see done first. However, just this morning I had the following thought:

For every picture or piece of wall art that I hang inside the house, I’m gonna give myself permission to hang an equal number of pieces of wall art in the shop. I think that seems fair.

Haha! I’ve never been one to embrace the saying, “Happy wife equals happy life”, instead, I like to think of it as, “Happy wife/happy husband equals happy life.”

There has to be compromise and fairness always and the scales need to be equally balanced IMO.

ha, you know my saying…if happy wife gives happy life, then happy husband makes suspicious wife 😂

I’ve gotten little jump on hanging some of my wall art out in the shop. I still have a lot to hang though. Most of my tools are finally put away, but there’s still a few more that need to be loaded into the drawers and workbench.

I‘m looking for suggestions on where to hang this very nice 6’X3’ Real Street Performance banner that I have. I was thinking above the two outlets behind the left lift tower. I will mount a TV on that wall, but there should be plenty of room left above it. Another option might be above the utility sink, but I haven’t measured to see how much room is left to the right of the flag.

Several years ago, I had Michel‘s craft store sew the submarine and American flag onto foam board to eliminate any sagging. I’m thinking of doing the same with the Real Street banner, only this time I’ll do it myself, now that I know what it entails.

The layout of this shop is challenging as far as how and where to put things compared to the last two houses, but I’m working it out as best I can.
