When I do a pull its slow and then some times when I do another pull it is way faster. It feels like i warm my car up then let it sit and come back and drive it in sport it is fast for a little then it is slow again. When the car feels slow it feels heavy. I just installed a Roush intake and stage 2 tune.

Are you still running stock intercooler? With what your describing it sounds like heat soak and the car is pulling timing and boost. Stage 2 calls for a aftermarket bigger intercooler.

I have a stock one. I have a roush intake people say it can handle the stage 2. Should i go back to stage 1 and when i get the mitsubisihi intercooler switch back to stage 2?

Yes go back to stage 1, the intake doesn't matter on the stage 1 tune. Go to Cobbs site and read the mods needed for stage 1 and stage 2. Stage 1 is ok for stock intake or drop in filter. For stage 2 the intercooler is what's needed along with the drop in filter or aftermarket CAI.

Save yourself some money and go with the CVF street intercooler, great quality and @cvf-jason is the man. I'm FBO's with NX2 turbo, e30 and 91 protuned running the CVF street and live in AZ with no issues.

Even if you're just on 91, good engine mapping makes a big difference. You can conservatively have 325hp/375tq at the wheels and the engine will feel much better at higher RPM.

Ryan Martin does my engine tuning. I can tell the difference between his maps and the stock one even at idle. Literally, if the engine is making noise, Ryan's tuning is better than the mapping Ford did. Honestly, it pisses me off. This is someone's actual job and they either suck at it or don't care. Either is unacceptable.

You also need to remember that factory tunes are more conservative for mechanical longevity. That's why some tunes are able to get sometimes so much more power than stock. They want their things to last as long as possible.

x2 on a CVF intercooler and a PD tune from Ryan. I'm on V1 of the tuning process and am hitting 310 hp. If I didn't retire, sell my house, build a new house and go on a 4 month vacation I'd be on V3 by now.

Bullshit. This has nothing to do with longevity or emissions. Before putting a bit of boost or timing to the car it already ran better with Ryan's base tune simply because it was being fueled correctly.

I dyno'd the car stock. The A/F ratio goes lower than 9:1 at WOT and the car can't make a single good power pull without the nannies stepping in to pull timing because of either the intercooler or Cat temperature. There is nothing to blame except shitty engine tuning/engineering. Couple that with an engine that can't run more than 1 track lap without over-heating and I think we know about how much time Ford spent with the 4-banger. Ziltch....

E85 is available. Race Trac has some E85 stations, at least I have one in Orlando. Looks like you've got some stations in Ft. Meyers. Just google it. But you'll need a pro-tune to run it.
1st priority: get an intercooler. Adding power without one is a colossal mistake especially in Florida. About 10 months out of the year your Eco will just be fighting heat soak. Second, get off that canned stage 2 tune. From what it looks like, it looks like its set up for their aftermarket intercooler. Check the classifieds. Second hand intercoolers are pretty cheap. Its just casting and piping and no moving parts so they're perfectly fine to buy used. So, if your still running the shitty stock unit with the insane charge temps it creates, that would explain some of that behavior. Canned tunes for these cars aren't that good. Weird power delivery and tons of pulled timing, at least when I briefly had one. If you've got the AccessPort already, just spring for a custom tune as well. You won't regret it.

Sounds like you are experiencing heat-soak from the stock intercooler. We sell upgraded intercoolers here at www.lethalperformance.com! Give me a shout if you have any questions. https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...oboost-2-3l/2018/cooling-3/intercoolers-1?p=1
