Hood resistance when closing

P4RKER, did you remove the plastic cover? Or, can you just loosen the 2 barely visible nuts on the front side of the latch? Are those studs fixed on the back side?

It takes a lot of patience and a decent amount of time and you need to hold the socket in place as you go but you do not need to remove cover. The studs are fixed.

It's called "the Ford drop", and has been the case for pretty much every gen of Mustang. 12-18" up just let the hood fall closed. Pressing it down will end up with dents above the latch.

It's called "the Ford drop", and has been the case for pretty much every gen of Mustang. 12-18" up just let the hood fall closed. Pressing it down will end up with dents above the latch.
If your hood requires that big of a drop take a look at the line where the hood and fascia meet. You will most likely see that the center is visibly lower meaning your stops are high or your latch is low. My stops all the way down still presented the issue so I raised my latch. No such issue since.

Already tweaked the rubber stops and latch. Now an 8-12" drop is plenty, everything lines up.
