In a Taco Bell parking lot lol. There was no cone or anything and it was full of water so I didn't see it, went through at less than 10 mph but it was a pretty hard impact. I've now heard a clanking type noise from the front driver side wheel area that hit the hole about 3 times. Any ideas what could be broken? Mods please move if this is in the wrong section.

Which taco bell, so I can avoid it?
Do you hear it when you're turning or hitting bumps?

Tie rod .

You need to get it up on a lift and have it checked , then aligned . No cheap way around it I am afraid .

Thank you. I was afraid of that.

Sway bar link is probably bent/broken. If it was a tie rod it would've just stopped steering.

Thanks agent. I'm wondering if this might be a good excuse to have my Steeda springs installed at the same time.

I would say so. You'll be dealing with suspension damage so go for it.

I have an appointment on Tuesday to bring the car to my dealer. Do you guys think it is safe to continue to drive the car until then? I only drive about 10 miles per day. Thanks.

Thanks again, unfortunately both dealers I talked to won't touch aftermarket parts so it will have to wait it looks like.

Update for today: The car was at the dealership all day and they put about 15 miles on it but were not able to reproduce the noise I've been hearing. They also tell me the alignment is perfect. So nothing got done but I know something is not right. Any ideas? Maybe a specialty suspension shop might be able to figure it out?

You heard a clanking type noise when it happened, but not while driving now rite (assuming from dealership not hearing the noise)? Does it actually have any bad behavior w/ normal driving?

Just put it on jackstands yourself & look at all the components, though I'm guessing the dealership has looked at & nothing looks broken. Best is you look yourself for any visible damage anywhere.
