Funny, I was reading all the posts to this thread and decided to read through all of them before posting that same issue. I had the identical thing happen to me at a dealership, and I looked around after I had closed the door to see if anyone else had noticed. My first thought was that I felt bad for whoever was going to eventually buy the vehicle. That trim piece will need replacing, assuming countless other people have done what I did. I think most dealerships know of this, and power the windows down before disconnecting the battery. What I notice of these vehicles, though, is that they lose that new car smell!

With these things in mind, I don't think I'd purchase one that had been sitting in the dealership (if I even knew it was) unless it was my only option other than to order from the factory.
The trim piece will be just fine. My window has frozen many times this winter, preventing it from dropping down when closing the door. It does make a louder noise, but the trim piece doesn't get damaged.

I had no idea there was a button to open the trunk right about the license plate. Had my car for 3 months, never had a clue, my dad just got his convertible yesterday, read the manual and told me about it. Crazy.

That button on my car is covered with sticky glue, makes your finger filthy to touch it, and it's an awkward angle for cleaning.

I've been using mechanical car washes for 20 years; never had a problem. My current Mustang hasn't been through one because it's been below freezing and I won't wash it when it's that cold, but I've never had a problem before.
Watch out for the car wash in 2015s, the track at my car wash in Horsham ratted up the outside edge of the black air dam on the driver's side. Worse yet, didn't notice it until after I bought my 6-Pack of car wash tickets.

my trunk release button was gooey too. i used some sort of bug and tar remover from turtle wax to remove it.

i believe it's adhesive from the white plastic cover that came off when removed during the PDI.

Little surprises and hidden features

I thought it'd be good to have a thread for new owners to post cool features / tips / tricks they've discovered in their car that perhaps are not posted everywhere.

Here's some from me to get started:

1. The visor has a clip so you can put and hold a parking access card. I used to have to put this in various awkward places in my 2011 GT. This little feature is great!

2. The clutch pedal has a spring that you can remove by hand which removes its "squishy" feeling and allows the driver to better feel the shifts.

3. There is a sound tube (which does nothing other than pump in engine sound to the cabin) leading from the cold air intake that can be removed for easier access to the oil dipstick.

What else have you guys discovered??

Place to put your sun glasses just to the left of the steering wheel down a bit.
Sorry this has been covered several times already.

Another interesting feature is something ALL cars should come with....if you turn the wipers on for continuous operation, even in max delay, the headlights automatically turn on.

Headlamps have to be in auto for that to work. If not, they don't come on with wipers.

My 11 was same way.
